Only five minutes drive from central Wanaka, Mount Gold Chalet is a bespoke private and cosy retreat. The exquisite wooden open plan studio chalet nestles in native forest high above Lake Wanaka. Views of the lake and surrounding mountains are breathtaking. The perfect place to rest and relax amidst 1.8 hectares of native forest and gardens. We had some issues with Vodafone broadband where guests didn’t have a strong signal sometimes, so we have upgraded to fast Starlink wifi 😄 The space The cedar clad studio chalet is 36m2 with a broad sunny wooden deck. Open plan with ensuite bathroom, tea/coffee, small fridge, toaster and microwave. Beautifully finished in recycled hardwoods with a luxurious king bed positioned to capture the stunning views. The chalet is sunny, warm and private. The chalet has a heat pump/air conditioner to keep you comfortable throughout the year. Starlink WIFI and a Smart TV are provided. Guest access Guests have private and exclusive access to the entire chalet. The chalet is located on a ridgetop high on the sunny northern slopes of Mount Iron. Reached by a 500m private gravel driveway, and a short gentle walk from the carpark down a private path with four steps. Travelling by car or taxi is the easiest way to arrive. Situated an hour from Queenstown International Airport. Other things to note Our dog Rubi is an exceptionally gentle golden retriever and will likely call in to visit you. She loves pats but please don't let her inside or offer her snacks. We have two studio chalets available for accommodation, each chalet is named after one of the prominent mountains that fill the view; Black Peak and Mount Gold.
