Bright, cosy, quiet and spacious retro apartment

Bright and atmospheric retro style apartment in with place for pref. 4–5, max 6. Large rooms painted and decorated in nice colours, well equipped, like a home. Fire place in the living room. Bath tub. Quietly situated, beautiful view of the valley and huge mountains from windows, and small garden. Free bus (wintertime) to cable car to Hardangervidda and Gaustablikk skiing center from near by. Close to swimming pool with slides and jacuzzi, several food shops, gas station and Tinn Folk Museum. The space Rjukan is a fantastic place with a lot of things to see and do. Spectacular scenery, essential Norwegian history on several levels, special architecture and a very cosy city center with tourist info, historical library ("The Red Library" with all communist literature collected), traditional and modern cafés and three different second hand shops – among all other types of shops – and the sun mirror which is unique in the world. My retro apartment is situated in a calm place with a perfect distance (100 meters up from) the main road, close to a recreation park with old trees, pool, benches and tables. I´ve tried to keep the original and old fashioned style. The standard is simple, but really nice, cosy and atmospheric. Some hundred meters down the main road there is a beautiful folk museum with a small café in summer. Bus station is very close with free bus to the cable car and Gaustatoppen ski center many times a day in wintertime. You will not be disturbed by neighbors as there is none living permanently in the building, only a very sympathetic couple every now and then on the 1st floor. There are food shops, kiosk, and gas station near by. Swimming pool – also perfect for children –and training center (the same place) about one kilometer away. Guest access Sheets and towels, toilet paper, hair dryer, first aid equipment, maps of the area, brochures of what to do. Wood is available – but if you use a lot, I´ll have to charge the exact cost that I pay myself unless the days are extra cold.
