The Den. Sheppard’s hut, glamping

The Den. A beautiful hand made Sheppard’s hut, set in a paddock for a relaxing glam ping experience. The space It is an inviting comfortable space, compact with a cosy feel. The Den has its own private access with a fenced off area for your sole use, with seating and a table to relax and enjoy meals outside. You will find a full sized double bed, side board with kettle, crockery, cutlery and mini fridge to keep milk and other small items cool. A small cool box is also available to store your food items and cool packs can be provided if required. There is drop leaf table with two folding chairs for dining and working inside, while enjoying the view from the window over looking the ponies, chickens and neighbouring donkeys. Lighting is provided by mains powered standard lamp and a bedside lamp. In the toilet there is battery powered LED light switch beside the mirror and a movement sensor above the door. The outside area is lit with solar lights. There is a composting toilet which uses wood shavings rather than a running water flush (no shower, hence Airbnb’s 0.5 bathroom listing). It also has a small sink with cold running water (hot water is available from boiling the kettle). Heating is provided by oil filled radiator and electric flame effect log fan heater to keep you cosy at night, with additional blankets and hot water bottles available in the storage boxes under the bed. Guest access Free parking is available on our gravel drive, next to the Sheppard’s hut. Other things to note Complimentary breakfast cereal can be provided for your first morning. WiFi is available, however signal is limited within The Den itself, some signal is available in the secluded garden or on the driveway. As the sink is too small to wash up and there is only cold running water, food waste should be disposed of in the food recycling bins on the driveway, with crockery and cutlery left on the garden table where we collect and then wash up for you.
