The old Auberge des Brizards, formerly renowned as a gastronomic hideaway with a clientele of politicians, celebrities and the Auxerre football team who would regularly come to get in shape before a big match. Today, the domaine comprising the old inn and the pretty cottage known as La Pastourelle; having re-found the calm of yesteryear, it is an idyllic place to relax in total privacy and reconnect with nature. On summer nights, you will be amazed by the silence and clarity of the starry sky that can be fully appreciated in this protected and unpolluted place. Guest access The old Auberge has been converted into a beautiful home and is offered in its entirety. You have a private entrance and access to the whole residence. All bedrooms are large with ensuite bathrooms - all with bath. There is a large, comfortable salon/reception area which is furnished to be cosy for smaller groups but can easily accommodates large groups of 20 plus. The new, modern and practical kitchen has retained its eighteenth century period charm with its original beamed ceiling and open fireplace. Other things to note The neighbourhood is quiet, wild and authentic. A wonderful place to unwind completely and just savour the uniqueness of the site. There are 350 kilometres of cyclable routes through forest and around the beautiful Lakes of the Morvan, within 5 minutes of Brizards.
