2 Cottages with great play barn sleeps 12

PLEASE NOTE: Saturday changeover during peak season Horseshoe Barn and Corn House are two adjoining cottages, linked with interconnecting fire doors. They are both delightful, spacious, well equipped cottages that sleep up to 13 people in 7 bedrooms, perfect for a multi -generational holiday. There is a 3rd cottage on site which sleeps up to 6 guests, if you are looking for a property for a large family gathering with exclusive use of the barn. Please contact Ann for more information. The space The beautiful North Devon surfing coast is nearby. The 2 mile sandy beach of Westward Ho! Is 6 minutes away and you can join the South West coast path just a 1 .8 mile walk from Bowood Farm. There are many other beautiful beaches slightly further afield. Horseshoe Barn - This cottage sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. Downstairs there is a large kitchen dining room which seats 8 guests, there is also a drop leaf table available for further seating. The kitchen is very well equipped with all you need, including a dishwasher, electric oven, microwave and a full size fridge / freezer. The double doors then lead through from the kitchen to the large sitting room with comfortable seating for 9+ guests. Here there is a Bush 40" TV and a DVD player. There are patio doors which lead out to the enclosed garden with a rotary dryer. Each garden has its own patio furniture and a charcoal BBQ (charcoal is not supplied). There is a utility room with a washing machine. Downstairs there is a large king size bedroom with an adjoining shower room with a heated towel rail which has facilities for people with limited mobility. Upstairs there is a super king size bedroom with linked beds that can be used as two singles if required, a double bedroom and 1 bedroom with twin 3’ beds. The upstairs bathroom has a bath with an electric shower over the bath and a heated towel rail. All bedding for the double and king size beds have king size duvets. Corn House - This cottage sleeps up to 5 guests in 3 bedrooms. Downstairs there is the large kitchen dining room which easily seats 6 guests. The kitchen is very well equipped with all you need, including a dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven, microwave and a full size fridge / freezer. There is a very comfortable sitting room with seating for 6 guests and a Panasonic 37" TV and DVD player. The patio doors lead out to the enclosed garden with a rotary dryer and patio furniture and BBQ. There is a single bedroom downstairs. Upstairs there is a double bedroom (with king size duvet) and a single bedroom with a 3' bed. The 5th guest option is either a 3' trundle bed, a 2'6" trundle bed or a toddler bed. Given the size of the bedroom with the added guest, it is better to be used for children with the additional bed. The upstairs shower room has a large walk in shower and a heated towel rail. There is plenty of free parking in front of the cottages. An EV charger is available for guest use located in the courtyard (additional charge). A very good local pub is within walking distance. The beautiful villages of Appledore and Instow which lie on the Taw / Torridge estuary are close by, with so many different activities and views to enjoy. There is a 3rd cottage here at Bowood Farm (Bowood Cottage) which sleeps up to 6 guests, if you are wanting a large family gathering with exclusive use of the barn. Please contact Ann for more information. Pets: One pet is allowed at our discretion. Please read the house rules concerning dogs and ask Ann before booking. Please note the extra cleaning fee of £60 per dog. Activity Barn: We have the wonderful added facility of the Activites Barn which is available for the use of all the guests staying here at Bowood Farm. In the barn there is badminton, table tennis tables x 2, pool table, table football, air hockey and multiple ride on toys and other games for the children. There is also beach equipment for guests to borrow, as well as numerous sofas to sit on. The barn is opened at 10:00 and closed at 20:00.
