The cottage sits along the banks of the Crinan Canal and is within walking, cycling and driving distance of pubs, local towns and historic Kilmartin Glen. The space Light, airy and cosy. Karibu Cottage is warm all year round with modern electric heaters and excellent natural light in all living and sleeping spaces. Snuggle up on the cosy sofas and on chillier evenings wrap up with one of the soft throws. Our gardens front and back have beautiful trees which attract an abundance of birds and you will enjoy watching the many visitors to the gardens from the living room windows. The kitchen is fully stocked with modern appliances, utensils and dinnerware to cater for all requirements of cooking and there is a very generous larder of spices, herbs and other basic essentials including a wide range of teas and coffees. Our bathroom has a basin and an electric shower with instant hot water. We have a heated towel rail for you to warm your towels which we provide for you. There is also an airing cupboard should you have need to air anything. We do have a bath tub but filling it will use all the hot water! You will have to use the hot water booster which takes 2-3 hrs to heat. Both bedrooms have very comfortable beds, one king and one double, and are made up with 100% fresh cotton linens. There is plenty of storage in both rooms including wardrobe space, comfy chairs to relax in and heavy curtains at the windows to ensure that you get a peaceful night’s sleep. Wake up in the morning to fabulous views over to the canal and the hills beyond. The outside space is perfect for enjoying eating alfresco on the warmer days. Enjoy your coffee and tea sitting on the benches or have breakfast in the south facing front garden that looks out across the communal gardens towards the boatyard and canal. The rear secluded woodland garden, though it borders the public pathway to the ancient cup and ring marks, is completely private and catches the sunshine most of the afternoon from late Spring to Autumn so why not relax out back on the garden chairs with the squishy cushions. We even supply midge combat gear to deal with our beloved flying invaders outside so as not to spoil your day! We have a security camera at the porch of the house facing into the car park. This does not record. PLEASE NOTE. Our property is not suitable for children under 12. The Cairnbaan Hotel is currently closed and undergoing refurbishment. We have heating rails that get very hot without guards and therefore this property is not suitable for children under 12 years old.
