The space This space is perfect for one or a couple. A comfortable queen size bed, with ceiling fan and air conditioning. It has safe, well-lit access at all times and a security entrance, making you feel easy about coming and going. Most other residents are professionals or international students so they are generally quiet and respectful of other people's need to use the space as a relatively quiet place. It is 5 minute's walk from the restaurant and entertainment centre of Carlton, on Lygon St or a similar distance from the Rathdowne Village Carlton Nth, with lovely cafes, restaurants, a health food store and massage therapy centre, a park, a library and much more to make you feel at home and relaxed. Guest access A tram stop is literally outside the front door on Lygon St. The tram that runs on this line goes to the City by turning down Swanston St to Flinders St train station, and vice versa. It runs north, away from the city along Flinders Street, terminating at Bell St. in Coburg. Buses run across town and can be accessed from Princes St and Elgin St. A short walk away. The nearby services are a supermarket, only a 2-minute walk away on Princes St. and only a 5-7 min walk is the dining centre of Lygon St. with the best pizzeria and gelato outlets in Melbourne. A credit card-operated laundry is in the basement at the bottom of the stairs. $4 dollars per load. You will need your swipe card to get out of the basement, so always have the key and swipe card on your person so you do not get locked out. Other things to note Carlton has everything you could want in a home away from home. There is a great nightlife vibe in Fitzroy, just a short walk across, while fine dining and arthouse movies are available only a 5-7 min walk along your street. The Carlton Gardens and Museum are a short walk away and a fine way to start your day with a brisk walk and a fresh coffee and croissant on the way home from DeChirico's bakery. The flat is super comfy with air conditioning and a great little stocked kitchen from which you are welcome to share any ingredients and cook your meals. It has sparkling clean bathroom amenities and quality linen. There is a flat-screen TV with Chrome Cast for movie watching and Bluetooth connectivity to the digital radio as a stereo speaker system to listen locally or hook up your tunes.
