Hurunui Homestead

We have one beautiful newly renovated bedroom with en-suite in our 100 year old homestead. Come and enjoy a luxurious night or two in our home, plenty of space to enjoy our lovely garden or explore the nearby river and local attractions. Enjoy complementary breakfast as you take in the serenity! We are located on the Alpine Pacific triangle highway, north of the Waipara wine region and just south of Hanmer Springs Alpine Village. The space Come and meet our very friendly Boer goats & Scruffy (the dog) just loves visitors. Guest access We have a lovely living room which you are most welcome to share with us. We have lawn croquet, a large garden and outdoor areas to enjoy, weather dependent of course. During your stay We are working from home so will available to help with knowledge of local area for things to see and do. Other things to note We can arrange a day fly fishing on the Hurunui River or a day trip with a picnic lunch at Lake Taylor - a beautiful drive with stunning views all the way, and you probably won’t see anyone else all day! Explore the historic Balmoral Forestry lookout for spectacular views of the Culverden basin and Hurunui river.
