The Villa was built in the years 1915 to 1920 during the era of prosperity and future believes. "Art nouveau” identifies this house from the unique al fresco roof foot, the exquisite floor tiles, romantic cast iron balcony rails, smooth rounded details in marble stair steps to the beautiful arced supporting elements. It also characterizes a pre functionalism with it's square foot print with 4 rooms positioned in each corner with connecting hallways. At the beginning of last century the garden was turned into farmyard during the second world war and was providing the necessities for the people living in and around the compound. During the last century few celebrities owned and lived in La Belle Époque Mansion such as the last Russian Royal Family and a top 10 tennis player. During the 1950 and 60’s it was the vacation home of Lulu Gaste who was married to the celebrity actress Cristine Renauld. Mr Gaste was a French composer and singer who claims the composing of world wide hit "Feelings" and in litigation with his colleague English writer and performer Albert Morris, he was later recognized as a co-writer of the song. It was quite a challenge to bring on such a house for renovation, to be able to keep it's identity of this lost era. During the process we have focused on making the new built fit into the original house so they are almost impossible to identify. With your stay here we encourage you to experience a moment - strolling around the garden - sitting down under of the astonishing loaf shaped 100 years old magnolia tree - enjoy the shade of the tree in the late afternoon with a glass of wine and a try of exquisite French cheeses.
