We are not connected to the grid so the electricity coming from our renewable sources is limited. There is sufficient to run the lights (but please turn off lights that you are not actually using). There is limited 240 volt electricity for charging small devices like laptops, cameras, phones etc. You must not try to use high power devices like hair dryers, rice cookers, electric blankets etc. These will blow the fuse and you will have no power for the rest of your visit. Most people have no problems but a very few waste the available power by leaving lights on during the day and exhaust the battery supply. Outside, the buttongrass moorland abounds with wildflowers and bird life. At night, you might be lucky to have a visit from an owl, possums, Tasmanian Devil or spotted quoll. Guest access Exclusive occupancy of the entire property gives you peace and privacy. Other things to note - We do accept single nights stays but there are big discounts for multi night stays because the cleaning fee is only charged once. - This is a remote "Dark Sky" area. There are no streetlights. We recommend that you arrive in daylight and that you bring a light source such as flashlight. - In winter, the overnight temperature can drop below freezing. We recommend that you arrive early so that you can light the wood-fired heater and get the house cosy before dark.
