Welcome to serenity and peace. Honey Bear Cottage offers a year-round getaway for couples or families looking to getaway to a natural setting, and with all of the favourite comforts of home. Situated on a beautiful quiet lake with private shoreline, and surrounded in trees, it is here that you will find tranquility and relaxation. The space Honey Bear Cottage is a small paradise, situated in a private wooded landscape with 400 feet of shoreline on quiet Lac du Chevreuils (non motorized). The cottage is Ideally suited to couples or families looking for a quiet getaway in a relaxing natural setting. The traditional cottage features an open concept kitchen and dining area with a rustic harvest table to enjoy family meals, a living room with an enchanting wood stove, and a large bright covered porch with a view of the garden and lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking and dining wares, key appliances, and basic spices and condiments. The cottage holds 3 spacious bedrooms, with a king bed in the large master bedroom loft, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and a trundle bed (two twin beds) and 3 junior bunk beds in the third bedroom. All linens for the king bed, queen bed and one twin bed are provided for your stay, as well as towels and soaps. Please note that you will need to bring linens for the second twin bed and 3 junior bunk beds if you plan to use them. Enjoy a nice family meal or lounge on our spacious covered porch while feeling the breeze, listening to the birds, and taking in views of the garden and lake. Outdoors you will find a BBQ, and several seating areas for you to enjoy your surroundings. Spend the days reading and relaxing in a hammock, and cozy up by the bonfire on cool summer evenings. In summer months enjoy sunrises from our large lakefront dock, fishing in the afternoons, or nighttime stargazing. The lake water is beautiful and clear, ideal for swimming and watersports. We have 2 kayaks, a canoe, a pedalboat and lifejackets available for our guests to use. We also have a floating water mat, offering hours of family fun! Throughout the year you can enjoy walks on our property or on the long cottage road. During fall months become entranced by the spectacular autumn colours that surround you. In winter, snowshoe right outside our front door across the property or on the frozen lake, and then cozy up by the wood stove with a hot chocolate or glass of wine. Guest access Honey Bear Cottage is privately situated in nature, so is ideally suited to guests that love the wilderness as well as a bit of adventure depending on the time of year and weather conditions! An ALL-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE and WINTER TIRES are essential in winter months to access the cottage. Roads leading to the cottage are plowed, however winter weather is often unpredictable with snow and icy conditions. We ask guests to take care while driving to /from the cottage and while spending time on our property. Guests are responsible for their own safety during their time at the cottage. Other things to note Honey Bear Cottage is a NON-SMOKING environment. Guests will be fined if there is any evidence of smoking inside or on the premises.
