'Le Barn', beautifully restored with amazing views

Beautifully renovated stone barn providing comfortable holiday accommodation for 4 people with terrace, garden and wood stove. Rabouillet is a peaceful village in beautiful unspoilt countryside ideal for hiking. Many walks nearby, even starting from the house itself. Interesting daytrips include Chateau Cathares, natural gorges, Romanesque Abbeys, picturesque villages, Collioure and the mediterranean coast. The space On the ground floor is the garden area and barbecue. Stone steps lead up to the living area and the wooden terrace with its commanding views over the surrounding countryside. The gite is a converted barn with stone walls and a wooden floor. The high sloping ceiling makes the large room lovely and airy and spacious. There is an open plan kitchen fully equipped with dish washer and washing machine. The lounge/ dining area opens onto the terrace. A wood stove means that the gite is comfortable even in the cooler months. On this level is one bedroom and the shower room. The second bedroom is a mezzanine accessed by a ladder staircase. This bedroom can be curtained off for extra privacy. Both bedrooms have double beds. The mezzanine bed can be converted to 2 single beds if preferred. Guest access The gite, terrasse and small garden are for your private use. Other things to note The stone steps leading up to the living quarters are uneven and the ladder staircase leading to the mezzanine is steep. We prefer to warn people about this as it is not ideal accommodation for very young children or elderly people.
