Open-plan living space with original wooden flooring features a double bed (140 cm width), wardrobe, iron & ironing board, dining table, and TV. The small kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, kettle, and coffee maker. The daylight bathroom comes with a shower and hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi is available. A weekly cleaning service (including the change of bed sheets & towels) is available upon request for €48 per week. For longer rentals, a private mailbox is available upon request. The apartment is located right next to the beautiful Rathenauplatz square and belongs to the Neustadt-Süd district. Named after the Latin Quarter in Paris due to its proximity to the University of Cologne, Kwartier Latäng is characterized by its liveliness and its multitude of restaurants, bars, and pubs. Shops for everyday needs are also located in the immediate vicinity. The green Rathenauplatz square on the other side of the street with its old trees invites you to linger; the green belt with its extensive green spaces is also just a few minutes' walk away. The apartment building is a 15-minute walk from Cologne's famous shopping streets around Neumarkt and about a 25-minute walk from the cathedral. The nearest stop is Zülpicher Platz, from where trams (lines 9, 12, 15) run to all important destinations in Cologne. The Cologne South regional train station is also less than a 5-minute walk away, with regional connections to Bonn/Koblenz, Düsseldorf, Eifel, etc. (Nearest stop: Zülpicher Platz) Please note that the apartment is on the 6th floor and there is no elevator in the building! Please note that there is no parking space available at the building and public parking is hard to find due to the central location. We recommend to not come by car or leave it at one of the park & ride parking lots on the city's outskirts. Guest access You have the entire apartment to yourself. Other things to note The city of Cologne issues a city tax of 5% of the rent, which will be automatically added to the price. House rules: Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building. Out of respect for our neighbours, parties and noise are prohibited. It is also not permitted to receive guests in the apartment without our approval. We ask our guests to provide the full names of their fellow travelers when booking and reserve the right to randomly check the identity of those present in the building. The use of the apartment for commercial purposes is forbidden and will be punished in case of violation. We reserve the right to exercise our domiciliary rights in the event of violations of these rules. For the safety of our guests, the entrance and hallways are under video surveillance.
