Our house, originally from the 17th century, is beautifully located with the most beautiful views of the mountains towards the town of Vence and a little glimpse of the Mediterranean Sea. Life is lived on the south-facing terraces, in the courtyard or in the newly renovated living rooms. If you want to experience village life, just open your ears, talk to the neighbors, or walk the 150 m to the bar at Place du Marronier, where you can hang out and have high-level discussions. If you prefer silence or bathing, take the walk to the river, the trail starts 50 m from the house. The space Thus, the Sculptor's Residence became our sanctuary: My (Adam's) father found the house in 1948. He was a sculptor and the house was to have forms and authentic style. Real 90 cm thick stone walls, 3 terraces, a small garden and basements. I grew up here and even the Christmas dinner was served on the terrace with endless views of the valley with my favorite river La Cagne, the mountains and overlooking a triangle of the Mediterranean. I couldn't part with that house and chose to renovate it, so now the old lady is in 2020 condition, but the charm is fully preserved. The house is spread over 3 floors. At the bottom, with direct entrance from the beautiful courtyard, you will find a room with a 120 cm wide bed and private bathroom. A staircase leads up to the high-ceilinged living room, where the sofa can be turned into a double bed. On the same floor you will find, through a door, a kitchen/living room with direct access to the terrace with dining table. Above the kitchen, a beautiful bedroom with 160 cm bed, bathroom, small workplace and exit to another terrace with magnificent 180 degree views of the mountains and towards the coast. In the garden, you will find the laundry and table with space for dining outside. Guest access The whole house and garden. Other things to note Experience has taught us that people have different desires and requirements for cleaning. Therefore, in order to always have a uniform standard, we have decided to take a fixed cleaning fee when you book our house, so that cleaning is done between each visitor. However, this does not mean that you can leave the house in a complete mess. All garbage must be carried away, the refrigerator emptied and the dishes washed. Our house is equipped with 2 double duvets in the two bedrooms. If you want single duvets instead, we can provide them if you inform us when you contact us. If there are more than 4 people, single duvets will automatically be provided for the sofa bed.
