Coffee, tea, high speed wi-fi, smart tv, Netflix, games. PLEASE NOTE - Pet fee is $10/night plus extra cleaning fee of $25. Dogs MUST be quiet and not disturb other guests The space **Please read everything below to ensure there aren't any disappointments when you arrive** Welcome to Arnprior! This location is perfect for anything you may want to do while in in town. Please note, we are not located right in the city of Ottawa, but rather an easy half hour highway drive away. The space is bright and charming, decorated with antiques and love. Enjoy your very spacious, private two-story space consisting of a huge kitchen with island (room for 8 to sit), inviting family room/dining room, and three generously-sized bedrooms. The air mattress can be used in any of the bedrooms or on the floor of the family room. Upstairs you'll find a full bathroom with a fabulous standup shower and double sink, as well as three comfy bedrooms. You'll also find many board games and books for you and your family/friends to enjoy. Our goal is for the Heart of Arnprior to feel like your home away from home. My home is next door and I am often around to help with little notice if you should have any questions at all. Although I'm next door, and there is another Airbnb that is also adjacent, (The Bicycle Thief), The Heart of Arnprior is very private, with it's own path to the road and it's own separate front door and entrance, and small front yard space that you are welcome to enjoy (bring chairs outside). From June through October, there is a cozy and private backyard space that you are welcome to enjoy as well. I am here if you reach out to me, but I'm happy to leave you to enjoy your time, and we may not even cross paths. This is a century home, built before 1900. The beds are comfortable, and it has the charm of yesteryear. If you are seeking slick and modern, this will not satisfy. If you are looking for quaint, clean, and cozy, we have that in spades! The family room is comfortable with a sectional leather sofa, and a cozy window seat surrounded by pillows. Plenty of games to keep you occupied for hours, as well as Netflix, Disney+, or Prime. There is a coffee maker (Keurig) (with coffee) as well as a selection of teas, and basic spices. In terms of kitchenware, there is everything you will need from a slow cooker to the pots and pans required to create a gourmet feast. Please plan to bring any food or perishables you plan to use, but feel free to reach out if you need a couple of eggs or a cup of milk. Just as good neighbors do, I'm happy to help if I'm able. This is a lovely home that I work hard to make comfortable and ensure is clean before your arrival. Your sheets and towels are fresh, the floors have been swept and washed, and there are extra blankets for your comfort and sleeping preferences. Shampoo, conditioner and soap are all in the unit for your use. There is a washing machine and dryer, but these are available for use for stays of four days or longer, please. *Dogs must be clean, quiet, and are not permitted upstairs or on furniture Guest access Guests enjoy having full privacy in the Heart of Arnrprior, including your own small, private porch entrance. You will not be sharing the unit with anyone other than your own friends or family. **There are some cabinets and doors that are locked for my personal use, but there is plenty of room for your own belongings in the empty, accessible spaces that are available** You can usually park right out in front of the house on the street to unload your vehicle. There is plenty of overnight parking on the street within a block. In the Winter only, there is a single spot up the driveway for guests. This unit does not have private parking, as noted in the amenities listing. I can often arrange for a two person kayak and paddle boards with advance notice from the local lending hub (LENDING HUB ON PAUSE DUE TO PANDEMIC). Please note: these should probably not be used before mid June given the temperature of the river. I have straps for you to put it on your vehicle, but this is something you will need to do. A roof rack is needed to prevent scratching of your vehicle, or foam for underneath. Other things to note This is an OLD home with charm of yesteryear. This home is not accessible for folks who may have mobility issues or other issues with stairs as the sleeping quarters and washroom are upstairs. Though the Heart of Arnprior is generally VERY quiet, you may hear the odd sound, including the bells from the church across the street, and very rare, but occasional barking from my dogs or the neighbour's dogs (you will not likely see them unless we cross paths while I'm out walking them). There can also be the occasional creaks and bumps that can be expected from a century home. Although we are just a few minutes up the street from the hospital, you have no worries about sirens and ambulances. They turn off the sirens when they turn onto the street.
