Shipwright's Cottage

Located in downtown Holland, in view of the Tulip parade, this adorable 2 bed home is 2 blocks from the Civic Center which hosts events and a great farmers market Wed. and Sat. and begins 8th Street where life bustles with outstanding shops and pubs. We have given it a gorgeous 21st Century overhall. A block away from lakeside Kollen play park and Boatwerks Restaurant with waterside seating. This location offers quick access to business and boating. Come enjoy a fun downtown stay. The space This is an original 1890's Carriage House that we have updated from top to bottom, inside and out. A queen bed upstairs, queen pullout couch, double bed (main floor) and an inflatable tall twin (in upstairs closet with its own sheets). I leave a starter amount of most normal toiletries. Fenced in backyard has a shed with 4 bikes, 2 adult, 2 childrens, yard game and a patio with chairs and propane fire table. We are located downtown, near the water so expect the sounds of boats and all things business while letting the nearby water walk at Kollen Park soothe away any stress. Sometimes huge cargo ships unload across a couple streets where loaders are working during the work week. Super cool to watch. The second floor master bedroom is like a private loft space with slanted ceilings and center ceiling height at 7 ft. Very quaint with bed overlooking the lake view. There is a stairway only separating it from the main floor, no closable door. We have stairs but no baby gate because of the way the stair is built so parents are aware with real little ones who stay. Laundry is available in closet on main floor. I keep a little soap under bathroom sink but bring your own if you're able. Entire house is cleaned and sanitized between guests. I leave a few cleaners under kitchen and bath sinks for you to note so make sure little ones have no access. This is strictly a no smoking, vaping/no loud party/no pets of any kind place. Please don't rent if you cannot treat it with respect and the utmost care. Guest access The entire house is available for guests to use except the closet in the bathroom is locked for our purposes. Yard is fenced in the back and east side with a row of trees to delineate property line. Other things to note Heated tile floor in bathroom in cold weather months. Please do not touch the controls for this. Rest of the house is dark vinyl flooring. Winter months, bring slippers. The home has strong wifi and a smart TV for streaming your own apps and no cable. Any use of our bikes is your responsibility and we are not liable for any injuries or occurrences. We do not provide helmets. This is a NO smoking house inside or outside the home and a reminder of no pets. We would like to be advised if you intend to have guests visiting while you stay in our place.
