Country privacy close to the best of Southern VT! This spacious home is close to skiing (20 min to Mt. Snow; 35 min to Stratton), river swimming holes, hiking, biking, art galleries and great restaurants. Open concept with fireplace, cook's kitchen, jet bathtub, gardens, winter hot tub off deck, and large patio and fire pit give the perfect vibes for your VT gathering. Secluded from neighbors but close to amenities, this home is a comfortable and peaceful retreat. The space Our 4 bedroom home was lovingly built with our own hands. Solar panels provide grid-tied electricity, hot water and radiant floor heat. Knotty pine throughout gives a cozy-cabin-like feel with open concept kitchen/living room space downstairs and airy ceilings upstairs. Relax by our woodstove or in the outdoor hot tub in Winter months, or enjoy our large deck with outside shower surrounded by gardens in the summer. A year-round fire pit is lovely for evening stargazing. The house is conveniently located off a paved road just 10 minutes from Brattleboro, but provides complete privacy and a forest feel. We are close to great hiking, swimming holes, berry picking, scenic drives, and excellent restaurants. Enjoy Southern VT Skiing: we're just 20 minutes to Mt. Snow and 35 minutes to Stratton. With the gardens, outdoor fire pit, large patio and cozy living area, however, you may not want to leave! The upstairs bedrooms have a tree-house feel, with views of the forest and our beautiful perennial gardens and fruit trees. The downstairs office bedroom has a Queen bed and stand up desk with extra HDMI monitor. The main downstairs bedroom, off the living area, boasts lots of light and a king bed. We have a variety of kid's games, books and toys to keep your little ones entertained. After a day hiking or skiing, soak in our deep jet tub upstairs or outdoor hot tub (November - March operation only). You can shower under the stars in our outdoor shower on the patio in summer months. Our kitchen has all you need to prepare great meals: stainless steel appliances, gas cooktop and oven, large fridge and freezer, dishwasher, and custom concrete counters with embedded rocks and crystals found from the nearby Rock River. Table seats 8 + bar seating for 3. Gas grill outside. Additional dining space on outdoor patio in summer. We have a washer and drier upstairs to cycle laundry during your stay, and large mudroom for storing gear. Guest access Our home is decorated with homey vibes close to our hearts, and is within earshot of friendly neighbors. Please treat the space, our belongings, and forest neighbors with care and respect. There are several parking spaces up our longish (and somewhat steep) driveway. We have a great plow person who maintains the drive and a pull out spot at the bottom flat part, in case you don't feel like dealing with the driveway hill in winter. Other things to note We have fast wireless internet access (for Vermont - 300 mbps) which allows you to stream movies on your device or the 43" Roku TV in the living room. Please note that the driveway is steep at the top. AWD vehicles with snow tires in winter are helpful for the final push. You can also pull into the flat part at the bottom of the driveway and walk up if that feels safer. Registration Details MRT-10126712
