Bed & Bath in Cozy, Eco-Friendly Victorian

Private room + full en suite bath in the beautiful, pet-friendly, cozy ground floor of 1880 Victorian home. City-adjacent living, located on the west end of Golden Hill, one of San Diego's most desirable, historic, walkable neighborhoods- walk, bike/scoot, Lyft/Uber to Downtown, Gaslamp Quarter, City College, Convention Center, Balboa Park. Right next to the I-5, blocks from the 94. This is a shared home, please be mindful and considerate and email any questions. The space This is an amazing historic gingerbread-like house with high ceilings, mahogany woodwork and floors, custom cabinetry, stained glass features and more. Your room has a comfortable queen-sized bed, cotton sheets and towels, closet with shelving and hangers, hamper, microwave, mini fridge, one-cup coffee maker, lamp, and chair. It's located just inside the front door, which is rarely used other than by guests so it will be a little like having your own private entrance while still allowing access to common areas. The porch is just outside. Your bathroom is stocked with natural, eco-friendly, ethical, cruelty-free, non-toxic products and the home is cleaned using equally responsible products. I run an eco-friendly home. You are welcome to my kitchen and laundry as needed. Please just put things back as you found them. Free street parking is generally easy to find on the same block. I have a small private porch and patio garden, but the yard behind the home is shared by several neighbors. You can bring your friendly, well-behaved pet or service animal if you like- just let me know ahead of time and be sure to clean up after them. Guest access Guests booking longer stays may have access to the kitchen and to the laundry which is located in the garage. Guests may use the patio and backyard areas as well. During the pandemic, Airbnb has requested restricted access to indoor shared spaces. Your room contains a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, etc., and breakfast is available at Influx Cafe on the next block or at a variety of nearby restaurants. Please let me know if you have any questions or special requests. During your stay I am happy to help you find fun activities and even to socialize or share a meal from time to time. During the pandemic, this may not be possible except for long-term guests. This is a 420-friendly home but no tobacco and no shoes indoors, and please be environmentally conscientious. Other things to note Most homes here, especially older homes, do not have AC as we are so close to the ocean and rarely need it. There is a ceiling fan in your room and an additional fan in your closet if needed. The window nearest your closet can be opened from the top down, with privacy layers on the lower portion of the windows and greenery outside shielding them somewhat from the street. The window farthest from the closet has been nailed shut for safety. Please do not attempt to open this one as it may present a safety hazard. The windows are drafty and it does get chilly and damp in San Diego at times. A space heater and extra blankets are stored in your closet. Please note there is a $20 fee each night that more than one guest stays and all guests must be pre-approved by Kat. I have helpers from time to time, and will notify you in advance if a co-host will be assisting you during your stay.
