The Garrigues Hideout

Between sea & river, at the gates of the Cevennes, we welcome you to "La Cachette des Garrigues", a former 19th century sheepfold, where a renovated and independent apartment of 54m² awaits you on the ground floor. 45 mins from Montpellier, Nîmes & Alès, Pompignan will seduce you with its green setting but also its proximity to the main tourist attractions of the Region. The space Accommodating up to 4 people (and a baby), the cottage consists of a living room with sofa and a first double bed, an open kitchen, a large bedroom, a bathroom and separate toilet. Share a moment with family, hike with friends or simply go green, in the countryside, far from the city and the horns, this place is for you! The equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, stove, microwave, toaster) will be perfect to make you want to cook local products or just to cook pasta, it's up to you! For good coffee or chamomile tea, a Tassimo coffee machine and kettle complete the package. For sleeping, you will enjoy a bedroom with a dresser and wardrobe, and a queen-size bed for sweet nights, a travel crib is also available, as well as a high chair, for the needs of little ones. The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, towel dryer, as well as a bathtub with backrest for you to relax. So that you can make the most of your stay, you will also have a private terrace, with table & chairs, and a flock of sheep as neighbors a few months of the year (when there is grass...). A jacuzzi is also available in winter and as an option. A small table, deckchairs & a barbecue are also available from May to have a stay in the best conditions! *** IMPORTANT INFORMATION *** Recently, small binoculars came to the Cachette and there are sometimes tears and screams on the floors above the cottage. These princesses sometimes test their vocals to compete with the sound of sheep and birds. If this may bother you, we advise you not to book, and if you have children, come on, we will make a contest! *** JACUZZI *** If you are a fan of bubbles and absolute relaxation, a private jacuzzi is available in winter for an additional fee and unlimited use throughout your stay. To do so, simply let us know when you book so we can activate it. €30 per day, €50 for two days, etc. The Jacuzzi is equipped with two headrests, an aperitif tray and a bright spot to spend excellent moments. *** POOL *** In summer (July-August) we allow you access to our pool from 8am to 6pm, so you can enjoy it, refresh yourself and then we can enjoy it too and brighten it too! Some rules will still need to be respected, such as good hygiene and the good holding of chlorine but we will have the opportunity to talk about them again! The pool is well exposed with an average temperature of 30 degrees, perfect for enjoying and having fun! If you don't like the pool, we have everything to bring you to our area :-) TOP 5 of our suggestions for coming to us and having a great time! 1: All the rivers are nearby, it passes through the Hérault and the Cascade de la Vis 35 min away and we can even suggest the best swimming spots! 2: Want even more water? You can go for a day to the sea in Palavas to eat an ice cream or to L'Espiguette to refine your tan and enjoy the most beautiful beach in the region! 3: Refresh yourself while doing sports, it's possible by canoeing in Saint Bauzille de Putois, it's 25 minutes away. Don't want to make an effort? Enjoy the beauty of the Demoiselles caves, all in the cool! 4: If you have a preference for water with a little chlorine, municipal pools open every day are 15 minutes away! 5: The cottage is made of stone and keeps it cool, the kitchen fridge keeps fruit juices, beers and wine cool too and that can compete with the pool! *** LINENS & LINENS *** Bed and bath towels are provided and beds are made upon your arrival. All so you can arrive with peace of mind:-) *** OPTIONS *** Want to celebrate an event, or just toast to life? For €30 a bottle of champagne can also wait for you wisely in the cool!:-) The accommodation will transport you, we hope, to a cozy & relaxing atmosphere. Country Wi-Fi, sometimes capricious, is available, no TV available, only books and board games, which will allow you to enjoy nice moments of disconnection! Guest access The accommodation is located in a quiet hamlet, with parking inside the property, short walks possible in the neighboring hamlets with views of the Cévennes! Other things to note Nearby, a 2-hour hike less than 500 m away can take you to the ruins of a castle & chapel dating back to 1237. For other hikes there is "Visorando" :-) The Bambouseraie d'Anduze and its steam train are 30 minutes from the cottage, as are the first Gorges du Gardon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other places like the Cirque de Navacelles, Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, the Grau du Roi, Palavas-les-Flots, the Pont du Gard are about an hour away.
