Description

Welcome to our charming cottage located on a tranquil lane in Rutland. Just a quick 5-min drive from Rutland Water, this 17th-century cottage is a picture-perfect gem that has undergone a refurbishment. The thatched roof adds to its undeniable charm. Step inside and be greeted by original features like low ceilings, doorways and exposed beams, creating an authentic atmosphere. The cottage comfortably accommodates up to 5 people, offering surprisingly spacious living. Enjoy free Netflix and WiFi. The space Welcome to our exquisite cottage, where you'll discover a surprisingly spacious living area. Unwind in the comfort of separate seating arrangements, including a second decorative stone fireplace, a cozy tucked-away reading corner, and a delightful conservatory ideal for enjoying a cup of tea or Two Chimps Coffee. Adjacent to the lounge and kitchen, the bright and airy dining room offers a perfect setting for leisurely breakfasts or intimate evening meals for up to 6 people. Rest assured with free parking available on the driveway and on the quiet lane for your convenience. As you make your way upstairs, you'll find two beautifully presented bedrooms adorned with crisp linens and fluffy towels, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. For added flexibility, the third bedroom is conveniently located downstairs, providing direct access to the garden (please note that due to its distance from the other bedrooms, it may not be suitable for younger children). Nestled on a quiet lane, our cottage is just a stone's throw away from the village pub (the Sun Inn), local village shop and Fish and Chips takeaway. With an abundance of activities to engage visitors of all ages around Rutland Water, Bee Cottage Rutland is the perfect retreat where you can unwind and put your feet up after adventurous days exploring England's smallest county. We warmly welcome dogs, and our beautiful cottage garden is thoughtfully enclosed to ensure their safety. Please be aware that the fence at the back is 3 feet high, which may be more suitable for smaller or medium-sized breeds. An additional charge of £25 applies for bookings that include dogs. Guest access Parking: You'll have full access to the cottage during your stay. We provide a gravel parking space alongside the cottage, accessible through gates. Please be aware that this space may be relatively narrow for larger vehicles such as SUVs. Additionally, there is convenient free parking available directly opposite the cottage on the quiet lane, specifically designated for wider-than-normal cars. Personal Care: We want to ensure your utmost comfort during your stay at our 17th-century cottage, which was built around 1650 and has retained its original size. It's important to note that certain areas of the cottage feature low ceilings, beams, and smaller spaces. We kindly advise our guests to exercise caution and move with appropriate personal care while navigating the property. Due to narrow doorways and limited accessibility, the cottage may not be suitable for individuals with mobility-related disabilities. Wheelchairs or support frames may not be compatible within this cottage's layout. Other things to note Upon your arrival, we extend a warm personal welcome and ensure that you feel right at home. As a gesture of hospitality, we provide guests with a delightful supply of Two Chimps Coffee, tea, and freshly baked pastries sourced from either Oakham's Lilly and Honey's or Hambleton Bakery. We want to cater to your needs, so please inform us in advance if you have any specific allergies or dietary requirements. In order to ensure a comfortable stay, we advise that the single room, which is situated on the ground floor, may not be suitable for young children due to its distance from other bedrooms. We prioritise the safety and comfort of our guests and recommend considering this aspect when planning your accommodation arrangements. The bathroom features an electric shower over the bath, offering both a quick shower and a warm bath experience.
