Gopher lodge is a cabin in the woods. A place to (go for) peace and tranquillity. To sit on the enclosed deck and watch nature. Or curl up with a book or do a puzzle. Or watch the latest movies on a 55” tv as 1.5 Gigabytes of wifi is available with Firestick & IPTV pro. Or take a short 0.3 klm stroll to Butler lake and canoe and fish or just listen to the loons. Or go out on the lawn and have a game of washer toss. Or roast s’mores on the fire pit.Or just sit and unwind in our4 person hot tub. The space Being on the lake at times is noisy. And you always have to watch the little ones around the water. But being in the woods where it’s quiet and tranquil is a true getaway. Or walk for 5 minutes and be on the lake. The cottage is perfect for a family of 6 or for two couples. We advertise for 4 as we have two bedrooms (one with a hand crafted queen size log bed and one with a regular double bed) and a deck room that has two single bunk beds that is better suited for children than adults. Guest access As our guests, we are responsible for your actions on the lake. Please play safe. A 4 person canoe and paddles are available. Please use life jackets. Again, please act responsible and respectful. This is a private beach and we are a part of a lake association. Other things to note Also please Note!!! The 3rd bedroom is off the deck. It has its own door and window. (Not air conditioned) But has a portable fan and heater also a small portable DVD player. Not recommend for children under 12. We ask that you respect our cottage and neighbours. We ask that you wash dry and put away dishes used. Garbage to be put in the bins on the deck. No need to make beds that have been slept in. Dirty towels and face cloths can be placed in the laundry hamper supplied. ANIMALS LEFT IN A STRANGE HOUSE WHILE YOUR AT THE BEACH OR SITE SEEING, REACT DIFFERENTLY THEN AT HOME. They destroy blinds and chew and dig at doors to get out!!!Please do not allow your pets to run through our neighbours yards. Be aware where they are at all times. Take them with you.
