The Lodge - unique cottage amongst private grounds

An idyllic and charming gatehouse, just a short distance away from the small town of Presteigne. With wooded views and an enclosed garden this is the perfect bolt hole. Set within 28 acres of breathtaking Radnor hills, feel free to explore this beautiful setting and the nearby King Offa trail. Presteigne is only five mins drive away and home to a host of wonderful antiques shops, an excellent deli, grocery store and restaurants * Please note the bathroom is on the ground floor* The space This is the old gatehouse to Newcastle Court estate, it is a stone built cottage with wooden floors, a steep winding oak staircase and two carpeted bedrooms. The bathroom is on the ground floor with shower over bath. Separate sitting room and dining room, with log burner in dining area and a basket of logs provided We have a smart television with access to the usual providers, Netflix and Prime, plus a number of board games and books There is also a DVD player with plenty of DVDs in the wooden coffee table box *please take note that the staircase is a short and winding one so not recommended for anyone with mobility issues* Guest access One parking space next to the Lodge and a further space along the drive if required. Other things to note There is a 10-15 minute circular walk you can take which follows a path through some of the grounds passing the lower ponds and the main house. Please be aware there is open water and we do not advise walking the grounds in bad weather or high winds due to the risk of fallen branches Please do not open any gates or enter any fields as we have livestock
