Family retreat at the Cape
Description
For those looking to disconnect and get back to nature, The Family Retreat at the Cape is the perfect house for a peaceful family escape, providing a wonderful spot to explore South Gippsland's Cape Liptrap and Walkerville coastal region. The space Originally a fishing shack, the house has been refurbished to create a bright and airy space, designed to comfortably sleep two families, or up to 8 adults. Perfect for nature lovers, families who love exploring, hikers, adventurers or people looking for an experience off the beaten track. With private access and a large grassy yard, the house has a deck that opens right around the house to enjoy both the morning and afternoon sun. Views extend into surrounding bush and paddocks with a glimpse of the ocean through the Melaleucas. A swamp wallaby is a regular visitor as are the kookaburras, black cockatoos and wombats. The house is complete with everything a family or two needs for a quiet weekend or as a base for exploring during school holidays. The open area has a fully equipped kitchen, large dining table, wood fireplace and lounge. There are two large couches in the lounge with a flat screen TV which plays free to air channels. Please note there is no internet connected at the property. Bedroom one has a queen bed, bedroom two has a double bed and bedrooms three and four both have two single beds. The property is not connected to town water, and we are on limited tank supply, so it’s not feasible to provide a full linen service. We provide doonas with covers and pillows with pillowslips. We also provide towels. Guests will need to bring their own top and bottom sheets. Being remote, the house does not have a council rubbish collection service. Guests are asked to take all rubbish and recycling with them when they leave.
