In the popular area of Rørvig, 7 km north of Nykøbing S on the northwest coast of Zealand, this vacation home is located just 700 meters from the most beautiful sandy beach with dunes. Simply because my experience is that the Germans - compared to all other nationalities - always take better care of our vacation home... The vacation home is a classic original Danish 'summer house'. It was built in 1958 and expanded in 1974 with a side house, is simple but beautiful and very comfortably furnished. It is not suitable for visitors who expect a lot of comfort. However, if you are looking for one of the older houses with charm and soul, of which there are only a few left, you have found your vacation home here. You take a warm shower outside, which is also a wonderful feeling in the rain that cannot be described in words. You just have to experience it. (From 2021 there is also a shower in the bathroom...) The cottage is furnished with sleeping places for 10 people, but with too many people, especially in bad weather, it gets a bit cramped – with only one toilet. Some of Europe's best beaches are located along the "Danish Riviera" in Odsherred. The beach can be reached in 5-7 minutes on the "house bicycles" through the unique plantation, which also serves as a coastal protection planting. The cottage of about 50+20 m2 is quietly located in a cul-de-sac, on a beautiful natural property of 2,365 m2. The rental is from Saturday 2:00 pm (arrival day) to Saturday 10:00 am (departure day), i.e. the vacation home is to be left tidy by 10:00 am on the departure day. Guest access The vacation home offers: • 2 bedrooms in the 'main house' each with 1 double bed (1.85 m * 2.05 m - slatted frames electrically adjustable) and 1 bunk bed (2 * 0.70 m * 1.90 m). • Living room with dining table, sitting area, sofa bed (1.40 m * 2.50 m) • Wood fireplace. Firewood is included in the rental price. (NEW: From 2021 there is also a Mitsubishi heat pump) • Color TV with house antenna (approx. 15 Danish programs), DVD player + Bluetooth radio. • Very fast Wi-Fi network (only from March March to August 31). • Small kitchen with complete tableware for approx. 10 people. • Electric stove with 2 plates, 2 mini ovens + microwave and large fridge with large freezer. • Toilet and shielded warm shower outside (30-liter electric boiler). (NEW: From 2021 there is also a shower in the bathroom) • AEG washing machine in the tool shed (water must be connected manually when used). • Small outbuilding (20 m²) with electricity, but no water/toilet. • 1 double bed (1.80 m * 2.00 m) and bedroom with 1 bunk bed (2 * 0.70 m * 1.90 m) in the outbuilding. • A total of 10 beds. • All rooms are equipped with electric heating. • The house has 2 sun terraces, one south and one west with sun until late evening. • Garden furniture and 2 charcoal grills are provided. • 10-12 bicycles are available. • Soccer, volleyball, beach tennis, garden badminton with net, king's game, golf club set, 'fishing gear' for crabs. • Unfortunately, pets are not welcome. • Towels, dish towels, duvets and 4 duvet covers can be provided by the landlord. Other things to note Rørvig is located directly on the north coast of Denmark, about 100 km from Copenhagen. For more than 100 years, Odsherred has been the preferred holiday destination for the Danes. This is due, among other things, to the magnificent beaches, the versatile art and the varied landscape. Rørvig harbor is a holiday gem for children who catch crabs on the jetty, good restaurants and many people. The landscape in Odsherred is not only beautiful – it is a wonderful setting for relaxation. The area is ideal for cycling and hiking tours, e.g. along the 27 km long Isefjordweg, or – if you like "mountains" – a 30 km long tour around the hills in Veddinge and Vejrhøj. Sport fishermen can look forward to the many fishing spots along the varying coastline or at the Lammefjord Canal, where carp fishing is easy. Deep sea fishing with a cutter is an experience. Both from Havnsø and Sj. Odde there are opportunities for tours out to the good fishing spots in Sejerø Bay or in Kattegatt.
