Upper Deck is a penthouse apartment in a beautiful location yet is also quiet and secluded when you have had a good day out and are ready to relax in comfort and luxury. The apartment is decorated in a contemporary style with modern appliances and has a nod to its Maritime history. Captain’s Retreat was once the home of a Master Mariner and retains many original features to the property. The apartment has a fully fitted kitchen with all you would expect of a quality venue with oven and induction hob, boiling water dispenser, toaster, dishwasher, microwave and fridge - all you need for a great stay. Luxury contemporary dining area seats 4 - 6 people in comfort, plus there are additional eating spaces on the balcony for alfresco dining or by the french doors to watch the world go by as you have a drink or boot up the laptop to catch up with the outside world. A welcome pack will greet you with the essential tea, coffee and milk to get you started and there are local supermarkets within easy walking distance to get essential supplies without having to head off in search of a major supermarket. Super cosy in the Winter months yet bright and airy in the summer due to its two balconies and French doors that give you the outside living feel but with the seclusion of being undercover to take in the views out to sea or the harbour. The modern white bathroom gives you the essentials that you need of good lighting, mirrored cabinet and shaver point as well as a dual head shower. Wrap yourself in a warm fluffy towel from the heated rail and enjoy the woodland views. At night Looe Harbour is lit up so why not relax on the balcony with a glass of wine and leave the stress of modern life behind, whilst you kick back and relax with fabulous scenery in wonderful surroundings. Looe has one of the few remaining fleets of day boats that go out and return to harbour with their catch. There are fishing trips and boat rides to enjoy out to Looe Island to watch the Seals as well as sailing, diving, golf and walking. Explore the coastal path and walk to Polperro along the craggy cliffs and then stop off at an authentic Cornish pub before returning to an evening of dining out in Looe with its many restaurants and traditional Cornish ale houses. Upper Deck @ Captain’s Retreat is the perfect base for getting around - Explore Looe with its labyrinth of fisherman cottages then get out and about whilst in the knowledge you have a great place to return to. Looe has a railway line so you can explore by train and enjoy coastal and country views, whilst the Eden project is also within easy driving distance. The location Of Looe means you are not more than two hours drive to the Lizard Peninsula or Lands end. Charlestown with its tall ships and location filming of Poldark is within easy travelling distance and makes for a great day out Looe is famous for its New Year firework display where the Cornish tradition of fancy dress is very much alive and kicking. The Music Festival brings thousands of visitors to Looe annually and there are numerous events throughout the year for visitors and locals alike.
