Dancing Gate - family home near Keswick

Dancing Gate is situated in an outstanding location less than two miles from Keswick, a former farmhouse which has been carefully renovated to retain its original character and also provide facilities to make your stay here comfortable and relaxing. Ideal for couples and families alike. Dancing Gate has panoramic views of Whinlatter Forest, Grisedale Pike range, Newlands Valley, Borrowdale and the Helvellyn Range. Walk and cycle routes available from the doorstep. Dog friendly, working Farm. The space One double bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower and toilet, large main bathroom is shared between the other three bedrooms. These comprise a single room, a double room and a twin bedded room. Secure cycle storage within the property, bike washing facilities available across the yard, brushes and sponges provided, cosy boiler room at rear provides super drying facilities for outdoor gear. Guest access The house has an enclosed garden plus a large car park which holds up to 4 cars. Access is through the farmyard but the car park is private for your cars only. A hosepipe washpoint is available across the farmyard, just ask Susan for details. Other things to note On our working farm, you will see us feeding and caring for our livestock on a daily basis. The cattle graze the fields in summer. Lambing is usually March and April. Just let us know if you want to meet any of the animals - our team of show sheep are a friendly bunch with a variety of Rare and Native breeds. Our livestock is housed from October through to late Spring, and graze the surrounding fields throughout summer. A public footpath wanders down to the river, between the fields, and our animals graze either side. In spring you can see lambs and cattle, and most of the year you can meet the horses. We also have two cocker spaniels who are very friendly.
