Description

Set within tranquil gardens and the beautiful East Devon countryside, the Pool House offers a delightful glamping experience for nature loving couples. It overlooks the re-wilded pool and guests are welcome to explore the wild garden and wooded area that extend beyond. The space The outside space is what makes this accommodation unique. Visitors can sit outside and watch dragonflies patrolling the water during the day and bats flitting around their heads at dusk. Intrepid visitors may try wild swimming on their own doorstep or do some outside cooking using the back to basics BBQ or cob pizza oven. An initial supply of wood is provided with the option to buy more, should you need it. The Pool House has a main room with kitchen , sitting and dining areas and a separate bedroom and bathroom. Outside there is a covered decked area and a paved area with a fire pit overlooking the pool. The kitchenette has a fridge with small freezer compartment, a combi microwave oven and a two plate induction hob. The bathroom has an electric shower, wash basin and eco-toilet. The bedroom has a double bed and a wardrobe. Outside you may come across our small flock of free range chickens, in the small paddocks above the Pool House. Four Muscovy ducks range freely across the whole 3 acre plot. Beyond the paddocks is a natural wooded area which serves as a wildlife corridor. If you are lucky you may spot deer! Guest access Parking is on site for one vehicle. Aylesbeare common-an RSPB nature reserve is a short walk away along the footpath that can be accessed from the top of the garden. Aylesbeare Common itself leads onto Woodbury Common offering walkers miles of beautiful paths and scenery to explore. Other things to note The local pub, The Nightjar, provides excellent food and beer and is less than a mile away. It can be reached on foot without walking along a road. The delightful seaside towns of Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth are a short car journey away and Dartmoor too is within easy reach.
