Bedroom with Garden Pathway to Town
An attached room with private entry and private bathroom. Very quiet, with a comfy bed. Patio beneath leafy hillside. Just 4 blocks to downtown Astoria, 6 blocks to the water, via a short garden-like pathway to the streets below. So close to town and so secluded! Spacious bedroom, table and chairs. Private entrance. Private bathroom. The space is an addition to the house, separated from the kitchen by an opaque curtain that you can’t see through from the top of the door to the floor, and a pocket door. There is no Lock on the pocket door. The only lock is your exit to the outside. I trust you to be in my house and you should trust me. I do not enter that space behind the opaque curtain when I have guests. It is private and I respect your privacy. from my kitchen there is a curtain that goes into a laundry room your bathroom is off that room and it has a door, then there is a pocket door that goes into the Airbnb space, and there is your room and a private entrance to the outdoors. Where there is a deck and chairs you are welcome to enjoy. I’ve had over 600 guests here and 99% of them are happy with the space. There is a slight ring in the tub that was here when I moved in. I’ve tried oven cleaner and bleach, nothing removes it. The bathroom is not dirty. I follow all guidelines, I am naturally a clean person. Therefore that room is cleaned properly between every guest everything is washed and wiped down. Patio beneath the leafy hillside with occasional deer passing through. Private entrance. Parking next to the house. Happy to offer recommendations. You can let me know if you'd like coffee or tea in the morning! Sweet residential spot just up from town. Nice views and older homes around. I live on 12th St. 5 blocks above town, 12th St. is basically the middle of town six blocks to the Riverwalk and the river. 3 minute walk to town! This is where we would want to stay if we were visiting. The proximity to town is a real plus. I have a collection of local menus and other recommendations to beaches and places to visit. There are trails around, like the Cathedral tree and up to the column, which is a great over view of the Columbia the Youngs Bay and River all the way to Saddle Mountain, and out to the Ocean. A great place to visit the ocean is at Fort Stevens. No one lives out there but there are many access to the Ocean and to the River beaches.
