19th Century Clockhouse Cottage, Earlston, Borders
19th Century Clockhouse Cottage, Earlston, Borders
Description
Gorgeous refurbished Clockhouse cottage in woodland on private estate near amazing riverside walks, near the village of Earlston and in the heart of the historic Scottish Borders. Clean comfortable and chic - perfect for fishing the Tweed, visiting Melrose and taking an understated staycation. The porch is for logs, boots and muddy things. Walk through kitchen leading upstairs to gorgeous sitting room, two comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom. The space The sitting room has a wood burning stove. If you are unfamiliar with the use of these please send me a message. We strongly recommend the glass doors are kept shut when lit for your safety and the better operation of the stove. The garden sitting area is very private but not enclosed. There is a chimnea for outside fires - again if you are unfamiliar with their use drop me a line. The lid only stays on when the fire is off. Never touch it when it is hot. Before lighting the fire make sure to safely remove the lid and put it to one side where it can’t get broken. Light the fire and enjoy. At the end of the evening safely put the lid back on - this will keep the base of the fire dry for easy use the next day. Guest access You will have the cottage to your self - kitchen, 2 bedrooms, sitting room and a small woodland garden area behind the cottage. You will be able to park your car on the pebble area immediately in front of the cottage. Please don’t stick out into the driveways as they lead to other (far away) buildings and we need access Other things to note Sadly after a lot of damage and heartache we no longer accept pets as Guests.
