Description
Our family house was once the village church. It was converted several years ago into a detached dwelling which is now available for you to use exclusively. ‘Bonny Strathyre’ is often nicknamed ‘the gateway to the Highlands’ and is an ideal location for ramblers, cyclists, hill walkers, folk touring Scotland, for those who just want time to relax and to ‘get away from it all’ or maybe just to spend quality time with friends/ family. The house can accommodates up to 8 people. Pets are welcome The space This converted Church is situated on the RobRoy way. It is close to Callander, Lochearnhead , Balquhidder, Comrie and St Fillans. It is also a good resting place for those traveling to Oban, Skye or the highlands. Locally, there is a village shop / post office , a pub and a cafe. There are some great walks/ cycling routes that can take you to Callander and Balquhidder with some smashing views . Nearby is the Sustrans cycling route 7 (NCN7). There is a small play park / tennis court within the Village for use whilst visiting. Guest access Guests will have the house to themselves which includes 3 upstairs bedrooms, one upstairs toilet/ shower and one downstairs bathroom ( very small half bath with shower). There is an open plan upstairs area where you have great views of the surrounding area. The Kitchen/ living room downstairs is open plan and includes many amenities for you to use. There is one downstairs room that is not included which is locked. There is no television however the WiFi is very good. Please also note access to the house and inside house is not wheel chair / disabled friendly. There are noise and motions sensors downstairs in property to protect it- these are not cameras or audio recording devices as your privacy is respected at all times during your stay Other things to note Please bear in mind that the Church conversion is an old rustic building in a countryside setting -as a result you might find the occasional insect ( and beware of the dreaded midges outside ) there is also the possibly the occasional spiders web. Please also be mindful that this is also a pet friendly house so there might also be the odd stray dog hairs despite best efforts to get rid of them ( it’s a never ending battle! ). It might also be a bit chilly when you arrive initially -however once the heating is on the house should heat up quickly. Please advise if you wish to bring additional guests onto property that are not part of booking. Please be respectful of neighbours and try to limit noise after 10 30 pm. I also use essential oils to scent the house due to their therapeutic qualities - please advise if sensitive to these. Please use bin bag provided and leave excess food for recycling. Please ensure you are familiar with the Fire Action Plan. Please only use only wood you have brought or purchased at the house in the wood burner. Enjoy your stay and thank you and if it is not 5 stars please let me know and I will try to resolve any issues. Registration Details ST00173P
