The space The Coachhouse at Marino Lodge, Murrisk, Co Mayo The original stone coachhouse of Marino Lodge was converted in 2019 into two beautiful two storey apartments (The Bay and The Reek) each sleeping 6. The approach to the property is down a long driveway just off the Westport to Louisburgh coast road (R335). This opens into sheltered and private grounds where Marino Lodge and the Coachhouse are located on a private shoreline. This listing is for The Reek apartment. 'The Bay' Apartment @ The Coachhouse This is a light and airy, beautifully furnished, two storey apartment directly facing Clew Bay and the islands. The space is inspiring and relaxing and has been designed to capture the captivating views of the surrounding landscape from all rooms. You are completely surrounded by the unspoiled beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way with immediate views over Clew Bay to the front and Croagh Patrick mountain to the rear. Accommodation comprises on the ground floor a large entrance hall, two bedrooms (one with one King sized bed, the other with two double sized beds both with t.v.). The ground floor also has a spacious shower room. Upstairs we have a large open plan living/dining/kitchen. Large picture windows frame your views of Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick and there are double doors leading out to a balcony offering immediate and panoramic views of Clew Bay. The apartment has been finished and furnished to exceptional standards and is very comfortable and stylish. Fully equipped with everything required for a longer stay. Guests have their own private access to the shore line, a great chance to kayak, wind surf, go snorkling etc. There is also a substantial outhouse for rinsing and storing wetsuits, bikes, fishing gear etc and an outdoor shower. Located just a few hundred meters from Murrisk Village, 4km to Lecanvey Village, 12km to Louisburgh Village, 9.5km to Westport Town on a straight coastal road. Several award winning pubs and restaurants are within easy reach. Guest access We have a large outbuilding for use by our guests. It is equipped with sink and storage area for bikes, outdoor gear, wet suits etc. There is an outdoor shower on the side of the outbuilding for rinsing off sand etc when you come in from the bay. As The Bay is immediately adjacent to The Reek they can be let together to larger groups of family and friends. If both apartments are taken together we can accommodate up to 12 people.
