The space Complete privacy in this roughly 400 sq. foot master bedroom suite, with large bathroom that includes a separate shower and jacuzzi bath. Often, the rest of the house may be empty, but even if we're there, we'll respect your privacy. Guests may use the full house, including the fireplaces, stereo, internet, music room, and chef's kitchen, screened porch, and outdoor grill. This is our vacation home so we may not be around, but my brother lives upstairs. This means that you get free range of our large kitchen, 3-acre backyard, and the two grand pianos in our music room. Old Bennington is filled with historic, colonial homes from the 18th century. The Bennington Battle Monument is a short walking distance, and a fun way to get an aerial view of three states. Robert Frost's grave is a short walk away, as is the Bennington Museum, which has a superb collection of Grandma Moses paintings. Bennington College is 2 miles away. There are 3 covered bridges within 3 miles of our house. It's probably best if you have a car, though there's superb cycling from the house. We'll leave maps for excellent 5-100 mile rides, and we have a place to hang your bicycle. "Downtown" Bennington and North Bennington are each a 5-minute drive, and feature lovely shops and restaurants. If you like to walk, there are two land trusts filled with miles of paths. Guest access The downstairs of the house, though we only permit 1-2 guests in the bedroom. During your stay None, unless they specifically would like interaction.
