WELCOME! Our home is designed to appeal to prospective guests (Ideally 3-6 guests, ages 8+) looking for modern amenities, cleanliness & comfort. It is located in a friendly & safe neighborhood with great restaurants & boutiques nearby which can be traveled to by foot, Uber/taxi or public trans. Lake/beach/park/Wrigley Field close by. Street parking easy and free. Have a wedding, family reunion or simply a larger group looking for some Chicago fun?? This home is where memories are shared! The space This is a vintage home with modern amenities while still maintaining some of the original charm. Our home sits on an extra wide lot making the home bigger than the average old Chicago "cottage". Being that it is a late 19th century Chicago home, the original floorplan had all bedrooms on the main living level which has now been converted for better function for a modern family. There are now 3 bedrooms, including a large primary suite, on the upper level and 1 on the main level which serves as a multi-purpose or "flex" room, including a guest room with 2 single beds when needed. There is ample room/seating for 6 guests who can spread out in the 4 common areas. Ideal for up to 4 singles who need separate bedrooms/beds or 3 couples. Additionally, guests are welcome to use the outdoor space which brings added comfort and is good for outdoor dining, relaxing or small gatherings. We invite you to take advantage of the grill, firepit and garden. Guest access Guests will have access to the top 2 levels of our 3 level home via a lockbox near our front door. The code is generally the first 6 digits of the phone number guests provide on airbnb. We ask guests to keep keys in the lockbox when leaving the home to avoid loss or calls in the middle of the night asking for entry ; ) . Please note, the first level (ground) is occupied by other Airbnb guests or us so please be mindful of noise levels (running/heavy walking, loud music). Perhaps you can compare adventures! Other things to note Grocery stores, gyms, local restaurants, bars and cafes anywhere from .5 mile to 1.2 miles (10-12 blocks) away. We are located near a big park where there are 2 tennis courts and a track. We are only 1.5 miles from Lake Michigan where large beaches and bike paths are a great way to pass the time. If you are seeking downtown adventures, our home is only 15 minutes driving via Lake Shore Drive to Michigan Ave's famous Mag Mile, John Hancock, Rush Street, Gold Coast, river, museums, theater, etc. Wrigleyville/historic Wrigley Field is a bike ride or 5 El stops/2.5 miles away.
