The area is also rich in other important historical and architectural presences: Villa Il Pozzino, Villa La Quiete and the most famous Villa Del Bel Riposo, where for a long time lived, hosted by his brother, the writer Carlo Lorenzini called "Collodi", who certainly drew inspiration from these places and its inhabitants, for the writing of his literary masterpiece "Pinocchio", whose adventures have been translated into many languages and known throughout the world. The Municipality of Florence placed a commemorative plaque in his honor on April 27, 2007, at the entrance of the villa, now a private residence. Since 1974 the famous Accademia della Crusca has been located at the Villa Medicea di Castello, an Italian institution that brings together scholars and experts in linguistics and philology of the Italian language and therefore represents one of the most prestigious linguistic institutions in Italy and the world.
