Paradise on the water with stunning views in & out
Private first floor bedroom and first floor private bathroom/shower in paradise! This house is meant to inspire, from colors to decor. It's tranquil & secluded, yet in under an hour's train ride you'll stroll Manhattan! Located on a stunning lagoon, this house is 8 minutes from the Long Beach boardwalk & beach. Two passes to Island Park's Masone Beach are included. There are many wonderful area restaurants, or you can cook a delicious meal and eat home on the water! This listing is for a private first floor bedroom and a private first floor bathroom/shower. Shared space includes the kitchen/dining room, living room, downstairs deck and patio. You can enjoy the waterfront rippling, with its magnificent lagoon wildlife, from the the cozy living room and outside. The first floor bedroom also has a waterfront view. I've been inspired to write over fifteen books here, and my aunt (who bought the property back when Island Park was being developed) was a musician who played on the deck daily. No matter what your focus is--even if it's just to get away from the stress of life--this is the perfect spot for you. Enjoy the magical view from the deck and the porch! Sip some coffee or wine and check out the marine wildlife, including our adorable resident swan family & our majestic egrets. Grill a meal over our Breeo fire pit and savor it at our patio table. Enjoy the spacious yard this house sits on--five lots, spanning two streets. I am available by phone or text, and by email. It's a tranquil neighborhood, with some delicious food options. Austin Boulevard, the main road which is about a five minute walk, has many dining options. On our corner there's The Hungry Crab, which is a new restaurant. To the left, there’s an amazing Italian restaurant called Gran Paradiso, as well as a delicious seafood place, a relaxed pita place and more—all within walking distance or you can get delivery/Doordash. There’s also Chinese takeout and pizza delivery. And Dunkin’ Donuts is about six minutes away by foot—24 hours of sweet cravings fulfilled! Also to the left, you can walk to the train station (10-15 minutes, depending on your pace) or else park closer (which is what we do, usually.) There’s a Starbucks across the street from the station. To the right on Austin Boulevard, there’s a nice coffee shop you can walk to for breakfast if you don't feel like cooking some mornings—it’s called Demi’s. The next block over, there’s a delicious Portuguese restaurant. The tranquil Island Park beach (a picturesque, hidden gem) is a five minute drive, and Long Beach is right over the bridge. I love walking on the boardwalk! There are many wonderful restaurants in Long Beach too! We have a lovely King Kullen supermarket you can shop in (never crowded!) and there’s a Panera and a humongous liquor store in the same shopping center. :) Five minute drive/fifteen minute walk to Long Island Rail Road. Five minute drive into Long Beach for a bevy of restaurant choices and a stroll on the famed boardwalk (8 minutes to the boardwalk/beach). Five minute drive to Masone Beach, the Island Park beach, to which I have two passes you can use. We also have Lyft & Uber! I share a black lab retriever named Bean with my ex-husband. When he is here, will never be in your space or our shared spaces.
