Villa Phiroze Baug @ Bordi Dahanu Beach

This 19th Century 4BHK Villa, across the Bordi beach is a part of an 8 acre organic Chikoo orchard. The listed price is for ONE large 350 sq feet bedroom equipped with air-conditioning, two queen size antique beds and attached bathrooms. Guests have shared access to an airy veranda with antique swings overlooking the beach, a spacious living room, a separate dinning room, a fully equipped kitchen, a large backyard & a one acre children’s play area equipped with swings, slides & a jungle gym. The space The Villa comes equipped with a fully running modern kitchen equipped with RO water purifier, a gas stove, Air fryer, toaster, mixer/grinder, fridge, microwave, Dosa Pan @ Idli steamer. You are welcome to use the kitchen to make your own meals if you prefer. A Saturday street market (not during monsoons) is set up along the main road between 9 am and 1 pm with super deals on local items at bargain prices. Within a radius of 8 kms there is lots to do in Bordi like fishing, trekking, cycling on the coastal road, cycling on the beach, Equestrian (Horse) experience, visiting the fishing village of Zai, Chikoo plucking, eating freshly made Pani Puri at the famous Shiv Pani puriwala, trying locally made Chikoo milkshakes, Chikoo ice creams, Chikoo kulfi, eating local Parsi & Maharashtrian cuisine. Guest access Living room, Dinning Room, Veranda, two Large Bedrooms with attached bathrooms, Patio, Parking shed, 8 acre Orchard, 1 acre Kids Play area, Laundry room, Male staff room with common male staff bathroom at an additional cost. During your stay Available on the phone & email between 10 am and 7 pm daily. Also available at the Villa on Saturdays and Sundays on select weekends. Other things to note We usually give ONE room on the ground floor within the published tariff for a max of either 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children per room. We can also offer another Three bedrooms at an additional tariff for the same number of guests as mentioned above. This is only upon a special request for families stay. We have TWO rooms on the ground floor and TWO rooms on the 1st floor (without lift). It all 4 rooms are booked then we can manage upto 16 guests as long as the guests do not mind sharing the FOUR rooms. We encourage guests to be Eco friendly and try not to carry plastic bottled water and plastic bags. Please segregate dry & wet garbage in the designated waste bins so as to minimize your carbon footprint. Please note that the two bedrooms are Air-conditioned between 3-4 pm in the afternoon and 10 pm-6 am at night when there is no power outage. During any power outage there is a sufficient back up of 4 hours for the refrigerator, fans and lights. Since the house is made of Wood, the room remains cool. The weather during season time is cool and windy so fans are usually sufficient. Between Mid November and Mid February the temp is in the range of 15-20 degrees and fall down to as low as 10 degrees on some nights. Monsoons temps between July to September during rain days range between 20-30 degrees inside the wooden Villa. Meals We can provide a basic in-house made breakfast with a choice of Eggs, Toast, Cornflakes, Porridge, Dosa or Idli, Poha, juice, tea, coffee, milk & seasonal fruits at an additional charge of 450/- per head per adult. For children under 12 years of age the charges are Rs 250/- per head. We can also arrange for fresh home cooked meals (both vegetarian and non vegetarian) from our Neighbours who run home kitchens at an additional cost of Rs 650/- per head for adults and 450/- per head for children under 12 years of age. The guests have full access to our fully equipped kitchen in case they want to prepare their own meals. The raw produce can be purchased easily form the nearby Bordi village market situated only 1 km away. Staff/Drivers We can provide a staff room with beds,mattress, pillow and blankets for male OR Female staff/drivers upto a max of 2 nos at an additional cost of Rs 500/-per head per night. Separate Washroom with Hot/cold running water for bath included. Meals they can eat at local vegetarian Bhojanalas situated 1 km away in Bordi village or manage with the kitchen facilities in-house.
