A one-room screened treehouse (with no electricity) on the 156 acre Santa Fe Treehouse Camp land. There is close access to hiking trails and the National Forest. The Birdbath with flush toilets and showers is a two minute walk away. You have access to the outdoor kitchen with a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, propane grill, coffee makers, cooking and eating utensils. If bringing pets you need to be able to lift them up a ladder or onto a 4’ deck or bring a ramp for them and pay the pet fee. Step up a 4’ ladder to enjoy the relaxation and beauty of the crimson sunrise. Though there is no electricity, battery powered lanterns are provided for your lighting needs. Blankets are provided but please bring warm clothes since there is no heater in the treehouse and it can get quite cold in the night. The path to the treehouse is on an incline and about 100’ down from the parking area. Pack in small bags for easy transport. You will have access to hiking trails and all camp amenities other than private cabins, treehouses and campsites unless otherwise notified due to groups in camp. There are beautiful views and access to Shaggy Peak, the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy a 20 minute hike to a creek (in wet weather) in the forest or climb up Shaggy Peak. Hosts Brad and Ciana live on the property and are available most of the time if you need anything. We live up a quiet dirt road with very few neighbors. You will hear the sound of the wind in the trees and the birds calling. Located less than an hour from Santa Fe Ski area, 20 minutes from Museum Hill, 25 minutes from Meow Wolf, 30 minutes to Old Town Santa Fe Plaza, Canyon Rd and the famous Santa Fe Opera you are not far from all that Santa Fe has to offer. Harry's Road House and Cafe Fina (two much loved restaurants) are just 15 minutes down the road as well. We are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle. Be aware that the roads can be snowy or muddy in early spring, late fall and winter (and rutted and muddy during summer monsoon rains). At those times of the year, we recommend a car with front-wheel, all- track or four-wheel drive and good traction tires. Wifi is available close to the camp office. The reception is poor at Sunrise. Cell reception is limited (Verizon works best). Please bring your own toiletries. Dogs are welcome if you can lift them onto the 4’ deck. ($10 per night/per dog). (Closest market 25 min). NO SMOKING ALLOWED.
