Description
Our modern (2019) ABI Summer Breeze 3 bedroom caravan with fantastic sea and country side views on 2 sides has a modern kitchen and living room/diner 2 toilets/bathrooms, central heating and and an L shaped deck with comfy chairs and tables. There's everything you need for a short break or longer in beautiful Purbeck. Swanage is 15 minutes walk with lovely beach, cafes & pubs The space Our modern cosy lovely caravan has all you need for a peaceful beach break or walking holiday in Dorset . Our sunny L shaped deck overlooks the Townsend Nature Reserve and sea on one side and the Valley up to Corfe Castle on the other side. Sometimes we don't move, just read, listen to the birds (or the Steam Train that chugs up to Corfe Castle) and relax. You can walk down to Swanage several ways-through the Nature reserve, over the Cliffs to Durlston Castle and Park or through scenic alleys and past picturesque houses.(The shortest route is about 15 minutes) We can make the twin beds into small doubles to suit different groups. We provide bed linen but not towels or t-towels. We often walk down and get a taxi back up-avoids parking charges in the town! The caravan is really comfortable and has a TV and lots of games such as Monopoly, Dominoes, Jenga. and books for all ages. We leave lots of local brochures there and the local newspaper so you can choose what to do. There isn't wifi in the caravan but there is in the Club House. People find 3 dongles work well in neighbouring caravans. We go there to switch off so we don't want to be connected all the time! We often time down there over Xmas and New Year and even with a couple of frosty nights we were warm and cosy. We have plenty of insulation, central heating and a flame effect feature electric fire Guest access You'll have access to the whole caravan- a double bedroom and 2 double/twin bedrooms, separate toilet with shower, another toilet and sink, good sized kitchen with stove , microwave and fridge freezer with lots of pans, crockery and dishes (It's an eclectic mix- not the usual standard caravan issue) and and lovely lounge with comfortable seating and dining table. We'll make up the beds for you but you'll need your own towels and tea-towels.There's parking for 1 car outside and extra cars can park down the hill at the entrance . There is a lovely swimming pool (charges apply) in the Club House and a Gym with daily membership and exercise classes as well as a launderette if you need it for an extra cost. The club house has a bar, great views and bar snacks and a very small shop with necessities. Another Costcutter shop is 5 minutes walk from the Clubhouse with a great butchers, fresh baked bread and pastries and vegetables newspapers and a post office. Have a look at the Guidebook where we have put some of our favourite shops, pubs and cafes. Let us know what else you like and we'll add it. The L shaped deck has 2 outside tables, plenty ofcomfy chairs. We leave buckets and spades for visitors to use under the caravan. Theres loads of board games, books for all ages and some guidebooks. Other things to note The park and the walk to and from Swanage have some steep hills which will give you and your calves a good work out but it may not suit some people with mobility problems or small children whose adults don't have a car. There are 4 flat, wide steps with handrail up to the decking and caravan. Once you are up them everything is on one level, though there is a one inch difference between the deck and the front door. This caravan is insulated and has modern central heating but you might still find its a good idea to bring fleeces even in summer as you can get an easterly breeze on the warmest evenings in Swanage. Happy to take bookings till end of December however if we get early heavy frosts or a long period of sub-zero temperatures before then we might have to cancel suddenly as the water needs to be turned off quickly otherwise pipes can burst. Would prefer to take last minute bookings from mid November if weather looks OK than cancel longer term bookings. Swanage is often warmer than elsewhere but we had a burst pipe in March 2013 which flooded our old caravan :(
