Description
Crofter’s View, named for its view of the working farm, is a hand crafted bespoke Shepherd Hut that lays solely on the edge of a picturesque hill. With its enclosed private garden, barbeque hut and spectacular view it is perfect for anyone who wishes to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Greenhill Farm Glamping wants to provide its guests with their own unique experience, whether that’s an activity packed getaway or a relaxing peaceful retreat. The space Our farm setting is perfect for a digital detox and carrying out activities such as walking and cycling, it can provide a peaceful retreat to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Due to its complete seclusion, there is no running water or electricity at the huts. Guests will have access to their own flushing toilet and hot water shower along with charging points for phones - found on the main farmyard, just a short walk down the hill. And their own private loo at their hut and there is lots of bottled drinking water. Each Shepherd hut has its own private enclosed garden with gas BBQ - complete with seating area and cooking utensils. This all lays on a raised decking area, to the right of the hut, serving as a viewing platform, so you can take in the amazing scenery as you cook and dine (at night be sure to watch out for shooting stars!) There is No fridge available so do bring ice packs if you wish, as there is a cool box available, this outside with the ice pack should keep food cool enough. A flushing toilet, heated shower and electricity points are inside the large white toilet block, located a short walk down the hill in a central position on the farm for the convenience of all guests (it is on your right hand side as you drive by this on your way up to the hut) You will also have your own private loo next to your hut. To use this, the toilet has a grey handle on the lower left hand side as you're looking at the toilet. Pull it towards you to use the loo, press the button in the rear middle of the seat to rinse, then push the handle back when you’re done. If the toilet gage (the bar that’s green) ever goes red, please let someone know so we can sort this. There is no electricity in the hut, due to its total seclusion on the hill, but it is well insulated and very snug. It does have its own wood burning stove for extra cosiness on those chilly winter nights. We provide a basket of logs, peat, fire logs, lighters, everything you need for it. If you do use the stove, please remember to not leave anything on top of it. Inside, there is a luxurious double bed with memory foam mattress, blankets, black-out blinds, board games, bluetooth radio, seating with pull down breakfast bar, hospitality tray with coffee tea sugar, biscuits, cereals, bottled waters, towels for showering, many LED lamps, and everything you need for cooking on the gas BBQ. We only allow one dog per stay, (two depending on size.) If you want to bring your four-legged friend along just book them in. If 2 please send a message. There are many surrounding walks, so please keep dogs on leads around the farm. However they can run free in the secure garden but please remember to watch them and poop scoop after them! - Supported by Rural Perth & Kinross LEADER Guest access As you approach the farm, you can drive up the main farm track road to the top where the Shepherd Hut lays. Once there, car spaces are set especially for guests to leave their car for the duration of their stay. Other things to note As our Shepherd hut is totally secluded and off grid, there is No electricity or running water within the hut - no fridge available. But bottled water and water canisters are provided with running water taps on main farm yard at the toilet block. There are many chargeable lights, torches, and LED candles for the total glamping experience. Located in a central point at the toilet block, there is electricity sockets for the convenience of all guests to charge their devices. We offer a dog and child friendly environment by providing a private enclosed garden area. However, as we are a working farm, we advise that you supervise children and dogs at all times and have dogs on leads when exploring out of the private garden area for their safety and that of livestock. If BBQ gas canister is empty there is another gas cylinder provided which should be there next to the bbq for guests to change over if they require.
