Aber Farm Shepherd's Hut (Tor y Foel)

Get in amongst the hills, reservoirs and fields of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Talybont on Usk is a 15 minute walk away for great pubs, bike rental and a small village shop. Get back to basics. Kick off your walking boots, light the fire, relax. Watch stars and sheep and escape from it all. Our rustic cabin makes a perfect retreat for couples or individuals looking for somewhere unique. The hut gets it's name from the hill that dominates the view from the porch seat - Tor y foel. The space This hut is a back-to-basics getaway. A comfortable double bed (sheet and pillows provided - you'll need a sleeping bag/duvet), gas camping stove (together with pots, pans, kettle, crockery and utensils) and woodburner. The LED lighting and USB charging is powered by solar panels. Farm Produce We provide your first load of firewood and kindling, please bring extra from local garages or village shop. You'll also find a complimentary bottle of delicious 'Aber Valley Apple Juice' which is pressed here on the farm by my father. Guest access After parking on the farmyard next to the wash hut you'll walk across our field to get to the hut, wellies will be desirable if you want to have dry feet on wet days. The wash hut contains a shower, toilet, hand basin and washing up sink.
