Pieter van Gent Winery - Pipeclay Lodge

The Lodge enjoys sweeping views over the vineyard and winery, an ideal place to relax in a rural area with the company of your friends. The Lodge is fully self-contained, perfect for a weekend getaway in the country, and getting down and dirty with the local wildlife. The space The Lodge is built in the Canadian style with timber walls and ceilings and was once the residence of Pieter himself, built at the same time as the cellar door and with all the quirks of a genius winemaker. It is a cosy space but with enough room for family or friends to spread out. The Lodge is situated up on a small rise from the winery itself, surrounded by vineyards, plenty of grass and trees dotted around. All this can be admired when sitting out on the large verandah sipping wine. Guest access The guests will have private access to the entire house, including its lovely front and back yards. The cellar door will be open during business hours for any queries the guests may have, otherwise we leave you to enjoy your stay! Other things to note We have a permanent resident (Jeremy) who lives in the cottage up the front of the driveway who is more than happy to assist with any problems or issues you may have during your stay or to assist in things to do around town, with the resident cat (Tom) often lurking around with him.
