Betty’s Boutique Hotel - Spa Room

Built in 1903 Bettys oozes old fashioned elegance and glamour of a bygone era. We have lovingly furnished Bettys with our own personal antiques and treasures from England so it really is a home from home. We have amazing views of the Indian Ocean and the Outeniqua Mountains from our huge covered Terrace, which is where you can feast on our delicious breakfasts, and traditional afternoon Teas.when pre booked on Sa or weds when available. Betty’s has the most amazing gardens with a treehouse too The space The Spa Bedroom , although not large , is so called as it’s main feature is a beautiful white free standing bath and a huge walk in separate shower room. The toilet is separate too to ensure your privacy . The room features natural stone walls and is decorated in pale blues and turquoise. which give the room a calm natural feeling, perfect for a relaxing stay away from the modern stresses of life. It has its own separate entrance which ensures more privacy and is located in the rear courtyard. We have a beautiful large lounge with full DSTV channels ,you can relax there anytime and use the honesty bar. Betty’s also has our precious pool table brought from England for you to play on , it’s in one of our historical rooms with views out to sea. The large stoep is our most used space as you can eat breakfast there, or relax with a glass of wine, read a book or just be..... the views out to sea and the mountains beyond are truly amazing . Another place to relax is by the large swimming pool on our loungers or you can sit in the stunning gardens on our quiet bench and watch the sun go down ...truly a place of calmness. We now have our unique underground speakeasy bar to enjoy a pre booked cheese & charcuterie board with a bottle of wine . At Betty’s you will never feel cramped by other guests , there is a always a different place to sit . We have private parking on site too, so you don’t need to worry about your car . Guest access Guests can relax around our large pool where we have sun loungers and look out over our beautiful gardens, through which you are free to wander around . The views from our large covered verandah are truly wonderful and you will look out over the Indian Ocean to the Outeniqua mountains . We also have built a ramp up to the front slope so are wheelchair friendly and the house is all on one level too so no steps ! Other things to note We offer 2 honesty bars which is well stocked with local wines beers and spirits . Prices are per room per night for 2 people and include our 2 course a la carte breakfast served from 8 am til 9.30am . Weather permitting this will be served on our covered terrace /stoep where you can enjoy the wonderful sea and mountain views. PLEASE NOTE - extra guests cannot be accommodated in certain rooms which are for 2 people only. The Royal & Rose Suite can accommodate a child or a baby in a cot . We also offer Cheese and Charcuterie Boards with a complimentary bottle of our house wine @R395 per couple, served from 5 til 730 pm . Our famous English Afternoon Teas @R195 pp are served on olde fine china and cake stands and served on the stoep every Weds & Saturday if availability. Please inform us if you wish to book this. Chef Daisy bakes a variety of fresh cakes, scones and serves it with a selection finger sandwiches and a pot of tea or fresh ground cafetière of coffee .
