Full of character and charm, this beautifully converted one-bedroom chapel retains its stunning original beams, creating a cosy and inviting retreat for couples and up to 2 well behaved dogs, seeking a peaceful countryside escape. Outside we offer a pretty enclosed garden surrounded by a traditional Cumbrian stone wall, a lovely patio and wildlife pond. The space Old Chapel is a beautifully converted former chapel, full of character with stunning exposed beams, vaulted ceilings and comfortable open-plan living. A separate double bedroom and luxurious bathroom with a spacious double shower complete this charming countryside retreat. Outside, enjoy a pretty enclosed, dog-friendly garden with a patio seating area, wildlife pond and traditional Cumbrian stone wall. Perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding countryside, with lovely walks right on the doorstep. Nearby attractions include beautiful Talkin Tarn, historic Gelt Woods and RSPB Geltsdale Nature Reserve. The charming market town of Brampton and historic Carlisle, with its magnificent cathedral and castle, are also within easy reach. A wonderful little retreat for couples and their four-legged companions. Guest access Guests have full use of Old Chapel and its pretty, enclosed, dog-friendly garden, surrounded by traditional Cumbrian stone wall. The garden features a lovely patio with outdoor seating for two, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or relaxing after a day exploring. A small garden wildlife pond adds to the peaceful setting. Please note that a shared pathway runs through the garden from the entrance gate. Other things to note One of the loveliest things about Hayton is its wonderful sense of community. Its a peaceful friendly little village where people still stop to say hello and happily pass the time of day. Just a short stroll from Old Chapel is our pretty village green, a lovely spot to enjoy the relaxed pace of village life. You'll also find a warm welcome at The Stone Inn, our traditional village pub, where you can enjoy a drink, a friendly chat and some delicious home-cooked food. There's something rather special about Hayton - a little slice of traditional Cumbrian village life, where you can slow down, unwind and feel at home.
