The Old Stable, Llancarfan

The property benefits from beautiful views over the stunning countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan, neighbouring a working farm and stable yard. The Barn comprises one king size bedroom and two single bedrooms, it has an open plan living area with a well equipped kitchen, a shower room and an outside terrace area. There is good wifi access and many excellent local amenities. The barn is within walking distance from a lovely pub. Just 25 minutes from Cardiff and 10 minutes from the coast. The space The Old Stable is a three bedroom barn conversion with stunning views over a beautiful valley. There is an excellent local pub within walking distance with a beer garden serving good food and other pubs and restaurants within easy driving distance. We are just a short drive from Wales Airport and twenty minutes from the M4. The city of Cardiff is only 25 minutes away by car where there are many theatres and sporting venues including the Millennium Stadium and Cardiff Bay. The Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coastline is just a couple of miles away with stunning beaches and coastal walks and the coastal town of Barry, famous for Gavin and Stacey is just five miles away. The beautiful market town of Cowbridge is just a 10 minute drive away with its many attractions including gardens, shops and restaurants. Local footpaths make the barn an excellent venue for walkers and there are also many local cycle routes. We have a storage area for bikes with prior notice. Local attractions close to the Barn include the newly opened Fonmon Castle with its dinosaur walk and medieval village, the Welsh Museum of Natural History in St. Fagans about 20 minutes away. There is a local farm park at the Amelia Trust just two miles away and another farm park at Warren Mill four miles away. Dyffryn Gardens now run by the National Trust is just 5 miles away. We are a short drive from the village of St. Athan where the new Aston Martin plant is based and where you would find the closest supermarket and the old town of Llantwit Major and its beach is just 15 minutes away. We live in the barn adjacent to the Old Stable and you drive through our garden down the drive to reach the stable yard and the parking area. We do spend time in the garden tending the plants and you may meet us there, but the terrace of the Old Stable is a flat paved area and is totally for your use during your stay.
