Includes a light breakfast: self-serve weekdays / served at weekends The space 'The Music House' is an oasis of calm - a short distance from the hustle & bustle of England's 2nd City (& host to the 2022 Commonwealth Games) - Birmingham. Please note the listing is NOT suitable as a 'half-way house', for online studies / exams / work-from-home or night-shift workers. The Music House is a 'Bed and Breakfast' - it is neither a Hotel / Directors Club or Office-Rental; reasons for this are explained at the end of this description. Please enquire in your first communication if you're unsure. Any required entry to the property after Midnight is strictly controlled & by prior specific communication / arrangement only - due to the potential for disruption for the host, neighbors and other guests in the house. The house - my home, is shared with 3 delightful, friendly rescued cats; Pogo, Boo and Ghost; They're primary 'Refuges' are the Dining Room and Lounge. They have full run of communal areas, are clean & curious. They will very likely visit you if you leave your room door ajar. As discussed previously, The Music House is NOT suitable for working from home for the following reasons: 1. Thermostatically controlled temperatures are set at 18C (64F) (0600-1700), 19.5C (67F) in the evenings and 17C ) (63F) 2300-0600. Unfortunately due exceptional increases in energy costs, Guests may not arrive with / utilise their own portable electric bar, fan, oil or any other heaters. 2. Many business and high-powered Laptops plugged in 24/7 and used 8-12 hours a day have a very significant impact to energy costs, the environment and sustainability. 3. Whilst we strive to provide wifi for guests (now with Vodafone Internet), in practice broadband bandwidth may not be good enough or reliable enough for home-working. Guest access Parking is on a FREE first-come first-served basis. There is usually plenty available on the roads. Do not park on the grass-verge. Please do be considerate to neighboring vehicles - do not leave a 3/4 parking space in-front of and behind your vehicle; equally please do not block other vehicles in by parking too close. Thank you for your consideration. During your stay COVID-19 Mitigation Measures Guests may be subject to non-invasive temperature checks on arrival if they appear to be unwell. Additional COVID-19 cleaning and sanitisation measures are in place. PLEASE NOTE: The Music House is NOT suitable for 'Quarantine' stays due to the shared facilities.
