Spend your days strolling through the world-famous Butchart Gardens, sipping tea at the Empress Hotel or shopping along Government Street. WorldMark Victoria is positioned at the edge of the inner harbor ? the perfect location for watching the water or setting out to explore Victoria's many attractions There is a water taxi stop/drop off next to the resort property. Almost all attractions in downtown Victory is walking distance. Things to See and Do in Victoria Whether you arrive by Kenmore Air, The Victoria Clipper or the BC Ferries, you're likely to have a little time to fill before you can officially check-in to WorldMark Victoria. Head down to the resort to drop off your bags (the front desk staff will keep an eye on them) and stroll over to Fisherman's Wharf, located just a few hundred feet west. Make a stop at Barb's Place, where you'll find the freshest fish and tastiest chips in town. Sit at the outdoor tables and dine alfresco. Victoria's Parliament buildings are a 15-minute walk away, and behind them you'll find the starting point for a horse-drawn adventure by Tally-Ho Sightseeing. Enjoy a one-hour overview of local attractions during a leisurely-paced, horse-drawn sightseeing experience. For a different tour experience, try Big Bus Victoria that has hop-on and hop-off sightseeing tours. Familiarize yourself with the locations of the Empress Hotel, Royal British Columbia Museum, Thunderbird Park and Beacon Hill Park, and decide on what you'll explore in-depth later on. CVSSightseeing Tours presents a 90-minute city tour aboard a traditional red double-decker English bus that also includes a peek at Chinatown, Antique Row and a ramble along Dallas Road or Beach Drive with its scenic views of Mount Baker and the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Bastion Square is where you'll find the Maritime Museum of British Columbia, housed in the historic 1889 Provincial Law Courts building. The exhibits trace Canada's vast maritime history and also give you an opportunity to clamber up into a crow's nest, sound a ferry horn and go for a ride surrounded by the glass and ornamental grill work of the country's oldest operating elevator. From Bastion Square, it's approximately one mile along Fort Street (where you can window shop at the stores of Antique Row) to Craigdarroch Castle. The spectacular 1890 estate of coal baron Robert Dunsmuir is a showplace of exceptional, intricate woodwork, stained glass and beautiful Victorian furniture. Climb the 87 steps of the tower to get a view of the entire city, and read the extensive histories of the inept Dunsmuir family members who let this spectacular beauty of a home slip through their fingers. After all you have seen and done in Victoria, satisfy your appetite at one of the abundant dining choices. The Irish Times, Bard & Baker and Nautical Nellies Steak and Seafood House are wonderful choices.
