Hillbrook Estate. The 50 hectare working farm set on a private and secluded peninsula, 10 minutes north of Whangamata. The property is perched above a stunning private beach looking out across the Pacific Ocean. Accommodating 16 people in the luxurious Main House, a grand homestead in the style of a Scottish mansion. Plus an 6 extra guests in the stables. This home features an indoor pool, hot tub, helipad, private beach access. Private chef at additional charge. The space Hillbrook Estate is centred around the luxurious main house - a grand 7-bedroom homestead in the style of a Scottish mansion. Which sleeps up to 16 guests. Adjoining the main house are two beautifully appointed self-contained executive suites, known as "The Stables" Where you can sleep an additional 4 adults and 2 children. The stables both have a fireplace and kitchenette. They provide extra privacy away from the main house. Additional charge applies for each of the stables. Please enquire. All bookings have exclusive use of the property (i.e. if you book The Main House, the Stables will not be offered to another group) All bookings have access to all the features of the property: the media room, the indoor swimming pool, hot tub, all outdoor areas and beach track. Guest access Gate access You will find a small blue fob (electronic tag) which is the key for the forestry gate at the start of the forestry road. The gate is locked from 7pm and does not re-open until the morning (approximately 7am on weekdays and mid morning on weekends). Please take the gate fob with you at all times, particularly if you are leaving or returning after 7pm. Loss of key incurs a $150 NZD charge. Parking There is limited parking close to the main house. In addition to the space in front of the main house you may also use the sheds opposite the stables and car space beside the stables. We allow a total number of six vehicles on the property during your stay. Beach Access Walking access to the beach can be found in front of the marquee area. Follow the signs for the beach to enjoy a wonderful walk with fantastic vistas through the pōhutukawa forest. The path through the bush is marked clearly with pink ribbon. The walk down takes 10 minutes and the walk back up 15 minutes and can be quite steep and strenuous, but well worth it. The beach has no public road access and while no beaches in New Zealand can be considered private, this is as good as it gets. Farm access Hillbrook is a working farm with hazards including heavy farm vehicles, electric fences, pest control and we take on bulls from time to time. For guest safety, we are keeping the farm off-limits. Farm tracks will be gated and locked. Please do not venture into paddocks with animals or down farm roads without prior permission. Visitors We welcome you to invite friends to pop in and visit you at Hillbrook for the day. However if you are holding an event there is an additional charge and Hillbrook Estate needs to be advised prior to arrival. The total number of guests paid for in this booking is the number permitted to stay the property. Additional guests staying the night will be charged via security deposit deduction. Spa & Pool Please replace the spa pool cover when finished with the spa and secure all 6 clips. There are pool alarms on the doors that will alert you if the door is opened. Sand must be washed from your feet before entering the pool or the spa. Any sand damage or additional cleaning required will be charged to the guest.
