Description

The Nook is a small 1 bedroom cottage ( SuperKing Size Bed that can be split to Twin Beds ) adjacent to our house, self contained with its own front door stepping out onto the lovely Church Street and beautiful walks into the Mendip Hills. The space Downstairs is an open plan sitting room and kitchen .The room is divided by a large breakfast bar with two bar stools where you can eat. A washer/dryer and a dishwasher are in the kitchen area . The bedroom is upstairs ,the beds can be arranged as a SuperKingsize Double or twin beds (please let us know your preference on booking )and there is a seperate bathroom with a shower and bath . Breakfast provisions are left in the fridge such as bacon/eggs/milk/ bread / fruit /butter and yoghurt .Cereals and conserves are in the cupboard . Although The Nook itself does not have any outside space there are some lovely spaces nearby where you can sit and enjoy your drinks and picnic maybe and soak up the valley views and Mendip Hills beyond. Just round the corner from The Nook by the village hall lies the Village Field and Play area with picnic tables Walk straight out of The Nook onto Poundfold, then bear left into Thrupe Lane. A bit of a steep climb up Thrupe Lane to the Croscombe Cemetery. Go through the gate here and then down to the next five bar gate which leads you into Croscombe Village newly planted Community Orchard. There are picnic tables here and superb views. A real Gem. Just round the corner from the Nook on Fayreway take the path by the Public Footpath sign and walk up the two fields to the little wooden bench. Have a drink and enjoy the views towards Glastonbury Tor and beyond. To the west you can see the sea on a clear day. Guest access The Nook is a self contaned cottage which our guests have full use of. Completely private and The Nook has its own front door Other things to note Heating is underfloor and comes on automatically. You should not need to adjust any of the settings
