Chartwell Cottage, Rilla Mill-Cosy Cornish Cottage

A detached Cornish cottage located in a lovely setting within the pretty village of Rilla Mill on the periphery of Bodmin Moor. The cottage boasts many appealing features with a charming kitchen/diner, a cosy and comfortable living room where you can snuggle down on one of the sofas a relax with a glass of red! An enclosed garden with views over the village, where you can enjoy the Cornish sunshine. A traditional staircase winds up to the first floor bedrooms and bathroom. The space This charming cottage dates back to 1800’s and has recently been refurbished by its current owners to create a lovely cosy character feel. It is deceptive with an extension to the rear believed to have been added many years ago. The current owners Helen and Rob have retained the character yet created a modern feel too. The cottage is set on an elevated position within the village and has its own enclosed gardens with a fabulous outlook over the valley and surrounding area. Other things to note The local Inn is located just across the village road and offers a good rustic environment with local ales and excellent home cooked food and a “take away” option which always comes in handy after those days exploring the county. The owners would love to welcome your pets to stay (on the ground floor only) and not to be left unattended in the cottage. We will provide dog accessories such as feeding bowls, dog crate (medium size) and even treats! Dogs are also welcome in the village pub. There are some great local walks a “stones throw” from the cottage whether it’s with a dog or not! For those travelling with bikes there is a secure bike storage area. We will provide you with all information on nearby attractions and visitor centres in the cottage on arrival. There will be additional costs to charge an electric vehicle at the property
