Description
Meet Stella, our remodeled 1973 Airstream—31 feet of vintage charm tucked in a scenic canyon on our 40-acre farm. Enjoy a cozy queen bed with views of the farm, full kitchen, small bath, and a dinette that converts to a second bed. Step onto your private deck overlooking the market garden, fire pit, and stars. Say hi as the cows stroll by or walk to the farm stand to visit pigs, goats, and calves. A peaceful, rustic escape surrounded by nature and farm life. The space Vintage Charm Meets Farm Life in “Stella” the Airstream Tucked beneath an oak-covered hillside on our 40-acre organic farm, Stella—a lovingly restored 1973 Airstream—offers a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path retreat. With vintage character and modern comfort, this 31-foot hideaway is perfect for a couples’ getaway, a small family escape, or a restful stopover between Los Angeles and San Francisco. 🌿 A Stay that Slows You Down Step out onto your private deck strung with market lights and take in the sweeping views of the farm. Cozy up by the fire pit under a canopy of stars or wake to the sound of birdsong (and the occasional rooster). Stroll to the farm stand for fresh produce, eggs, and handmade goods, or say hello to our goats, pigs, cows, free-range farm dogs, and market garden team as you explore the farm. 🛏️ Comfort in a Cozy Space Inside, Stella features a plush queen bed with views of the farm, a dinette that converts to a second bed, a compact but fully functional kitchen, and a small bathroom with shower. A faux fireplace and colorful LED lighting add to the cozy, playful ambiance. Please note: Stella’s door locks with a simple pin from the inside but does not lock from the outside. Rest assured—our secluded canyon is incredibly safe, and many guests find peace in leaving things just as they are. 🎲 Unplug & Unwind This is a place to truly disconnect. Wi-Fi is limited and cell service is spotty—perfect for unwinding with a good book, a game from the shelf, or a movie on the DVD player. The stereo system lets you set the vibe with Bluetooth or classic CDs. 🍳 Farmstand Feasts & Campfire Nights Whip up simple meals with the stovetop, coffee maker, cookware, and outdoor BBQ grill. Dine inside at the dinette or enjoy dinner under the stars by the fire. The small fridge and freezer keep essentials fresh during your stay. 📍 Close to Wine Country, But Far From the Noise While it feels worlds away, Stella is just a short drive from the wineries, restaurants, and shops of Lompoc, Buellton, and Santa Ynez. For longer day trips, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo are about an hour in either direction. Dark sky nights make for breathtaking stargazing—keep an eye on SpaceFlightNow for front-row rocket launch views from the frontyard. We're just 4 miles from the launch site! 🚀 🚿 Tiny Bathroom, Big Adventure The bathroom is compact—as expected in a classic trailer—but fully functional with a shower, toilet, and sink. We’ve stocked towels, linens, and all the basics so you can settle in and feel at home. 🧑🌾A Note About the Farm Experience: Staying on a working farm means getting the luxury of farm life without the chores—but with a few rustic realities. Our water comes from a natural well and may have slight discoloration, though we provide filtered water for drinking. You might notice some dust, the occasional bug, bird nests, or wildlife sounds such as fox calls in the distance. The road is paved almost all the way to the farm, then very well-maintained dirt roads upon turning in. It's dark here, and we recommend arriving during the day for ease of finding your stay. Cell service is limited, however Wi-Fi through Starlink is very dependable, though imperfect. It’s all part of the charm, and we hope it adds to your connection with nature during your stay. 🐾 Pet-Friendly We welcome well-behaved pets with a small fee per pet (added at booking), to help keep our space clean and cozy for all. 🕰️ Optional Add-Ons for Comfort & Convenience Early check-in and late check-out are available through your guest portal and handled via Airbnb’s Resolution Center. Hosted by Dare 2 Dream Farms 🧑🌾 Guest access You will have access to the entire airstream, the outside deck, firepit, and BBQ. You can take a walk around the farm to experience what it is we do on a daily basis. There's parking for up to 2 cars. Self-check-in - the door will be unlocked. The space is stocked with essentials to help you settle in and enjoy your stay. The landscaping service comes on Saturdays or Sundays. Other things to note Lompoc is the best vantage point on the West Coast for viewing the stellar rocket launches by NASA and SpaceX from Vandenberg Space Force Base. Missile launch days and times are released several days in advance and are subject to change based on weather conditions and/or mechanical challenges. Once booked, we'll provide you with all the details you need in your guest portal for checking launch schedules! WE HAVE WIFI, but it is limited, and cell service is spotty. Enjoy being unplugged for a bit. Your soul and mind will thank you. THERE ARE DOGS ON THE FARM. They will come say Hi. They will bark when you drive up. They are all cuddly and friendly; they play with our one and three year old. TO START A FIRE: You will need a lighter or matches, kindling and firewood. We try to keep all of these items in stock at the farm stand for sale but cannot guarantee their availability. Be mindful of your water consumption while using the toilet. The holding tank on the airstream is small, and although we have a backup tank in place, it can overflow if the toilet is used too much. Shower and sink use is fine. We are in the country. There are bugs, wildlife, and dirt. There is a chance of seeing wildlife during the day and at night. They will very rarely approach or even come close. Do not be alarmed.
